It allows you to go from one direction to another! With a jump you can get to the oppisite side! Here's an example. You know how many people smooth their ramps with other ramps? Normally those other ramps are for show, but, with this... you can jump, not requiring your jet-pack, and get on the other direction! It is the exact oppisite of not-useful!

so its a thing which is very complicated and impressive but isnt actually that useful
