Are you certain that you are within antenna range and/or your suit antenna is on? You need to be within 200 meters to a major antenna for the remote to allow communication with you if on foot, otherwise check that your ship antenna has enough range to transmit as well

so i noticed that if you are in orbit of a planet and you drop one of these boys down not long after falling a bit the connection will be severed and i was wondering if it is possible to fix this

Umm... You sure about all those? Empty reactor is probably true since I often forget that but everything else you said is demonstrably wrong. Parablock and remote are in their correct orientations, ore detector makes up half of Curie's head and Gyro exist in override mode to unflip Curie. It's not clang inviting, it just forces you to roll...

Lots of problems. Empty reactor, so no power, missing ore detector, remote control block on sideways, parachute block upside down, gyroscope set to invite Lord Klang. Despite this I'm salvaging mine to create a new build. It gave me new ideas.

Would you happen to have that drone lineup as a collection or world? I've been looking for that Rover/Lander combo for a while, seems it got removed from the workshop.

@DOOM DAVE Good catch. I took it down to make it survival ready. Planning on doing some quick rework to get its power balance fixed as right now the antennas are too powerhungry and need reactors that aren't there. Should be up by tomorrow again after I can get it tested in case I break something in the process.
