Not a bad map. Short, simple, and to the point. Especially liked the large central disposal pit that extended through both main floors for easy access. A little dark in the stairways, though, made it a little tricky to find stray blood spatters.

Thanks for the offer illgib, but sadly Deadman and I have taken a break from Viscera Cleanup Detail since we ran out of custom maps to play with. XD But we did start on Portal 2 Co-op and soon we'll be doing another game the next time he's free. ;u;

Ok, i remade the rail in bsp, now should be ok, i quickly tested it and nothing has stucked, but should need an indeep testing.

When i'm more confident whit riggin' i would like to refine the bodies ragdoll, are still too stiff and a bit bugged, well those where my first attempt at bones and riggin', i might be happy for how turned out :steamhappy:

I think it's time to fix the rail of the pit.
I'll load it in 3ds so i'll make a better collision mesh.

Nice Map. The items sometimes collided with the ring around the pit, but other than that great map!

It happened to me too with a soldier, the fende was made into the editor itself with and auto collision, i should made it externally with a custom collision mesh, too efforts for a simple rail :steamhappy:

Alright, nice map ! Took me approximatively 40 minutes for a 100% score.
Not much to add, expect that I ran into a collision bug with a tiger body, it got stuck in the fence surrounding the pit, I had to cheat to remove it. :S
But anyway, a cool little map dude :)

Okay, nevermind my previous comment, for whatever reason, a Steam restart was necessary for the map to finaly appear in my list.. No idea why ><

Thank you man! The tiger was a real pain to rig, i'm glad it turned out pretty well.
As my previous map, this was for me a training ground for advanced modeling.
The pit was so natural, i don't even want to hint at what's down there, just a big deep hole who goes "who knows where".

Damn, this is some serious creativity right here! What an awesome map to play! I would definitely enjoy playing more. Loved all the small details-the water flowing in the vents that lined the basement, the barren winds blowing on the arena floor and the nifty tunnels and steps that mirror the actual colosseum layout. It was really cool seeing the gladiator/slave clothing as well. And the physics on that tiger was a little too realistic, enough to gross me out at least! All the unique "training areas" in the underground area were great, as was the pillars on the arena floor with the spikes. I actually thought it was especially immersive with the wooden pails-I could almost imagine myself as a lowly Roman scrubbing down after a nasty battle. The pit was a great touch and fairly satisfying as well-a nice alternative to an incinerator as it keeps the theme and atmosphere intact. Thanks so much for this great contribution, and I submit my vote for expansion on this if you want to do so.

Something like the Shadow Warrior one, the rooms, stairs and railings are single meshes, instead of single pieces together, it saves a lot of time modeling and texturing into udk, as i'm quickier in 3ds and have a lot more control.

Maybe we can share the ideas and individual knoledges, and send it to BlackEagle to sell it as a comunity dlc :D

Yep ,i used a VcMover and Matinee, and it took me hours to realize that was the hitbox and not my fault for the unmoving door :steamfacepalm:

Now my forbidden dream it's a map entirly made of new meshes, but then i should charge some money on it, being an actual dlc :steammocking:

ladder volume for the ladder might work
doors yeah it why i avoid using vcmover
ya get used to the doors quick
see how the doors work in jailbird map
trigger is attached to the door for bigger hitbox
the rest is done in Kismet as matinee is much more versatile than vcmovers
anyway its all good n didn't take long to escape from the cell i spawn in:)
additional objects that doesn't make or count as mess or can count as mess
to fill in the more emptyish areas is a good idea
i had same issues with my doom maps being so big it was hard to get the mess and non mess objects to fill the place but not too much so it not show that red server txt

The fighters and the tigers are in fitting number with the cells, the guards are random.
I had the idea to add a little guard quarter, but i think it lokks empty or out of place.

The bracers are on hte to-do-list, the ladder i would like too, my first idea where to use the trap door on the upper floor to act as a bucket machine, but i think it's way too tricky.

I don't know if Viscera support vertical ladders area, i seen a tutorial but was about general ue3.

The cell doors are the mantis one, i think the hitbox it's out on their own, and i don't know how to fix it, other than making a new door.

Found out where the bracers came out? ;)

hitboxes on the cell doors are abit touchy feely
cool if could burn things in the brasiers
cool if could use the ladders and hatches
but other than that its pretty cool and it feels medievil:)
cant remember how to lose the bucket handle/perhaps invisible material will hide it:)

nice pit of doom too=i suicide in there n it was a long fall
idea put black fog under the big hole and kill the janitor in the darkness
disposal volume with instant disposal and allways track box ticked n make it pain causing will do the trick

additions yes(more stuff to interact with) but yeah its hard to find things that fit the theme
all in good time

The more questions one posts=the more we can help each other:)
note to subs=
if this map gets stuck on loading screen just wait dont press anything or game will freeze crash
alternatively subscribe
start the game to install map
exit the game and start the level editor
wait for editor to full load then simply exit the editor
start the game and map won't get stuck on loading screen=it load straight away
same goes for other maps with lots of custom content
the reason it get stuck on loading is the game is trying to rebuild the shader cache
the editor will automatically do it and is much faster than bei stuck on a loading screen
