I think they're ugly in white, but good mod! Always cool to see unused stuff.

The prototype Sectopod was white because it was guarding the Advent Forge which is also a white building.


Plus what about Shieldbearers and Priests? Their white throughout.

I always thought Advanced and Elite versions of enemies should look different. This is a nice first step. I'd want all of them to look different eventually.

I will say this slightly conflicts with the logic of the Sectopod restoration. The white version is the first tier in that, here white is the elite tier.

I presume so, I just wouldn't do it mid mission but you should be fine on the Avenger.
