There seems to be a lower tolerance on this mod than other Chief mods which I do not have any issues with. Wish there was a way to dial back this sensitivity setting to make it easier on bad drivers like me.
Oh and ChiefWiggum, great great great mod, love it!
what do you think we need for a short oval package?
I will keep following this and testing every update. I hope CART 1985 can reach its potential!
@Rogger76 The sounds are good enough. They sound like a raw, noisy turbo race engine through a helmet with the wind noise around it. Better than many other mods.
Also a plus, the damage sensitivity is pretty good. Now you just need more crap flying off the car in an accident. Particularly the high speed oval stuff. How about the side pods come off? What about the engine detaching like it used to often do? It should be possible to detach the engine from the rest of the car mesh and assign it a Debris# to have it be detachable. How about the main nose cone off too so just the driver is showing after a big wreck? Like Indy 1995! 8)
This has some good potential. Hopefully the Chief keeps developing it.
AI are cars are pinning the rev limiter everywhere on track and not one problem.
Something is not right with this. Maybe the races you watched were all people with paddle shift/auto shift and auto clutch, which sadly is common online, but driving this fully manual and being competitive is not possible and not realistic.
On another note, I'm quite sure these cars had onboard roll bar adjustment front and rear.
It feels quite good
Secondly about the engine damage everybody is ranting about: I was able to keep the engine working just fine when always lifting 100% on upshifts and not rushing it
I LOVE the idea behind it!!!
But maybe allow just a tad bit quicker upshifts? i felt like i had to slow down bit too much to keep natural flow in my driving?
Good mod overall, keep it up and thanks for your hard work!
