Yeh you can remove all Personailty type of ruler traits and make it genetic since we already have personailty types, Make a light version that is compitable with most mods. and a full version that has Ruler eduaction ETC and or even more personailty actually so. so a light version without for compatibilty to total overhaul mods just adding genetic traits on birth. first if you feel more conifident then you can start making it less random and so that you can breed traits if you have an allied player

so i still can use it besides outdated?

I have thought about upgrading it, but really don't see any big difference, that I could make with my mod anymore.

Писать мод - достаточно легко, была бы идея, только вот очень монотонно и долго.
Если парадоксы сделают сильное ДЛС к европке, чтобы мне захотелось вернуться - тогда, наверняка, захочется допилить мод. А так - предлагаю дружно ждать Вику 3 =)

Обновите мод, пожалуйста, без него играть уже невозможно просто, слишком крутой.

Yeah, some of the traits in this mod actually work well and wouldn't conflct with the new system.

Yeh the other Mod is Ruler Peronailtys. maybe you can focus on genetics ;P

You could make it a lot more reduced, making the Ruler Traits more expanded with the features brought in with the older mod. Like just thee modifiers from the different abilities, they were cool

Most likely so, I've played 1.18 myself and really liked the concept PDS introduced. Smooth and elegant.

It's been a long path from few dozens of text lines adding some ruler flavor for Dorimi's Byzantium mod to maybe too overburdened RT 1.17. It was my first and only experience with EU4 modding, so I want to thank all of you for getting RT to the first page!

Celibacy trait gives minus thousands to hair chance. When playing Poland with elective monarchy it leads to heir dies spam. :(

If you want mods to download then get copied to documents you have to have steam cloud enabled both for the game in steam and ingame.

Same as the comment below me. For some reason no EU4 mods are downloading at the moment for me (or not properly, anyway). I stopped playing for a while, came back to get some mods (including updated versions of mods I already used), and it seems none of them are showing up in the mod menu, despite steam downloads telling me I've downloaded 1 GB of EU4 workshop content/mods. I looked in the EU4 mods folder, and there's nothing new there, either. I'm confused.

Doesnt seem to show up in the mod menu? Is it possible to get a manual download

Which languages are supported by the mod?

Could you perhaps edit this so the current emperor of the hre doesn't change religion instead of austria? When playing a game full of custom nations (so no austria), the hre just disbands immediately

Also, please, try out the Lite version of RT - Ruler Traits Lite .
I haven't played it (like I haven't played my mod since 2015 =)), but on paper it is what my mod was intended to be at beginning - light and enhancing the vanilla, not an overhaul it has become.
I am sure a lot of people will stick to it, so feel free to choose

Hey all, sorry for not updating the mod for such a long time. After doing some MAGIC with localization files, with a lot of help from user12343, I finally managed to make it work.
So, no additions, just old 1.16, but working =)

@Green Rainbow Baron: the mod still works, the mod only lacks localisation (text) somehow

This seems like cool mod... shame it is not updated :(

Thanks Markus for you help as thats the issue I currently have.

If your localization is messed up (i.e. after 1.17, you see "Missing Localisation!" in your Ruler Trait popups), you can fix it by doing two things:

1) Open up the localisation folder, and for every line (EXCLUDING line 1), in every file, add a 0 directly after the colon. It should go like this:

edu_main_t: "Ruler Traits" -------------> edu_main_t:0 "Ruler Traits"

2) Save each file with the following encoding: UTF-8 with BOM. You should use a text editor like Sublime Text or Notepad++.

You may need to unpack the zip file and repack it to make these changes. Hopefully the dev incorporates these changes.

Is there a way you could post a way to download an older version of the mod? I want to finish a game a started a while ago but now it crashes when loading the save
