Stinegril9 my game keeps crashing because of the mod after i subscribe it. i may have to unsubscribe it. the diameter circle tank.

"okay when i subscribe it and i run the game it ended up crashing when i try to play."
I updated the game to check, using only this mod, do not get any crash.
Tried a few things (moving, etc.) but still no crash.

Might be related to some other mod you have loaded as well.

I don't see any missing floor tiles either (that was fixed long ago).
I _do_ see the floor flickering - which IIRC is the way the 2 floor colors overlap.
Maybe, maybe I will look at that some day, but would require going back into the modelling program to re-do all those tiles and am not sure I even have correct version to do that anymore.
Will see.

also the floor tile bug is the problem too when it put it there i see missing floor tiles.

"hello checking in about bug fix."
This mod is pretty old. Can you give a clear definition of what the "floor tile bug" is?

hello checking in about bug fix.
dsbishop225 16 Mar, 2024 @ 12:04pm
how you fixed floor tiles bug?
stlnegril9  [author] 17 Mar, 2023 @ 9:02am
Finally fixed the main bug, not that hard a fix once the issue was identified.
(For the record, an update in, or around, the Architect's Collection update changed tank entry "modelOffset".)

The Floor tiles are sill visually buggy for some theme paints. May look into that.

No, sorry. In fact I haven't even looked at the (22) files in 3D modeling.

Kind of moved on from Megaquarium modding, but who knows, might get bored of other modding and pick this one back up, particularly if something new comes out (and involves 3D models).

I do have it on a list of things to (maybe) do some day, and think I recall what I meant for the fix (nearly a year ago :) !! ) so, maybe???
dsbishop225 14 Feb, 2023 @ 11:42am
Hey have you fixed it?
stlnegril9  [author] 2 May, 2022 @ 10:49am
OK, looked into the files a bit more.

Seems it was not a change to the tank mapping characters, but a change in how the FBX (the 3D model files) are read into the game (they are actually converted automatically into a Megaquarium-specific format by the game first).

It looks like every model is being read with a new (different) coordinate system location.
If every model was shifted 1/2 tile right and up, it wold look fine (the way it did in the past).

If correct, I'm unlikely to fix this any time soon. It means every model would need to be changed and be re-exported.
Not that complicated but repetitive (about 22 files).
stlnegril9  [author] 29 Apr, 2022 @ 2:16pm
it is not. I did look at the files and through a few new files (from the game) and didn't see what changed.

My post on Discord about this has been unanswered so far.
Was focused on other stuff, but come 1st May, might put more time in to it.
dsbishop225 28 Apr, 2022 @ 10:31am
checkin in how's the fix coming along.
stlnegril9  [author] 20 Apr, 2022 @ 11:57am
No, have not fixed it, though I did look at it.

Will take some time to recall the floor mapping characters and I have question into Discord on what changed in the past year or so to break it.
dsbishop225 20 Apr, 2022 @ 11:20am
Have you fix bugged floor yet.
stlnegril9  [author] 17 Apr, 2022 @ 5:36pm
Yeah, this tank is messed up, by some changes in how floors, etc. work I think.
Might take awhile to get back into how these work.
stlnegril9  [author] 17 Apr, 2022 @ 2:25pm
I forgot to look at this.
Thx or the reminder. Am playing something different ATM but will try to see to it.
dsbishop225 17 Apr, 2022 @ 9:20am
Can you try to fix that but on round tank because of floors.
stlnegril9  [author] 14 Feb, 2022 @ 7:06am
Haven't looked at this in a long time.
There was an update a few months ago, IIRC, and that may have changed things.
Will try to remember to investigate some time soon.

The floor is bugged for me. Is there a fix or something?
stlnegril9  [author] 10 Jun, 2020 @ 5:40pm
The "white walls" should be fixed. Rather complicated explanation, but a new mapping system in V2 changed some things.
Hopefully works better now.
stlnegril9  [author] 8 Jun, 2020 @ 8:58pm
Yes, something did change in the recent update. The "white walls" were not there in prior versions, so it seem something changed in the base game models.
Will try to have a look at what changed when time allows.
stlnegril9  [author] 8 Jun, 2020 @ 6:06pm
thanks for letting me know Titan Chief10. The V2 Megaquarium release may have changed some things. I'll look into it hopefully soon, but am enjoying the Freshwater Frenzy release in the meantime.
Titan Chief10 8 Jun, 2020 @ 12:55pm
When I place it there are white 'walls' running over the bottom of the tank, does anyone else have this? I love the tank but this visual bugg makes it rather unattractive to use.
chewydwarf 10 Feb, 2020 @ 11:09pm
Like other tanks similar to this one, It's impossible to click anywhere near the tank, tho this one is better than some others. And I do agree, this one should really be able to hold more... It's huge. lol
Goldobsidian 17 Sep, 2019 @ 1:00pm
Looks nice but I think it needs to have a bigger capacity. For being as large as it is, I could fit 25 sunken deep wall tanks and get a volume of 2400, over double that of the tank currently. or 8 belfast tanks for a volume of 1800 with some room left over for a path down the middle. even the Mega T tunnel tank has a upper limit of 2072 for about the same space.
Barry 25 Jul, 2019 @ 11:07am
Good shit
banjobindlestuff 24 Jul, 2019 @ 9:16am
it would be nice to have one with an odd diameter :3
stlnegril9  [author] 24 Jul, 2019 @ 7:54am
MeerkatMatt2 - because the tank is round and the tiles are square, try putting platforms/autofeeders (and connected stairs) at the "top","bottom", "right" or "left". (the 3 auto feeders are at the "bottom" in the image above.

It should look better and you should have better luck that way.

A modder pointed out an issue with some of the tiles at the edges. If I have time to fix those, I'll look into improving the side access points if I can.
MeerkatMatt2 24 Jul, 2019 @ 3:35am
i've had trouble getting the steps to properly connect to the tank. this may have been a one off however.
StainlessSteelCynic 23 Jul, 2019 @ 10:28pm
This is exactly the tank I needed when I "thought" I could have a couple of hammerhead sharks in my aquarium. Sharks grew too big for their tank, so with much hurrying about and re-arranging walls, this tank saved my two hammerheads.
Awesome tank - big, but worth the effort :steamhappy:
