I have used this thing FOREVER I just hoped over to look at the page to show a friend who is new to SE :D and realised, SOMEHOW this isnt Dripping with a bazillion awards, So i tossed in my two cents! Thi has been forever my go-to fighter craft, Nothing has ever come even remotely close, This little bugger is an absolute Pirahnah! and now i find out there is a new one!!! *GASP!* One of the finest creations i have ever seen and had the joy of Experiencing! It is ab absolute Must have!

By far my favorite small ship design, awesome work!

Major update: now with moar boosters, better structural integrity, new coloring etc.

Strike that hydro issue. I may have had trade mode active.

This needs quite the rebuild. As it stands, if the hydrogen tank is blown away the whole thing splits in half. On top of that there's a bunch of disconnects between guns, cockpit, hydrogen tank, and connector in back. (I connected to a base and could not stockpile any hydrogen in the Finch.) Switch the hydrogen tank with the O2/H2 (plus bottom ion thrusters) sections and it should all integrate better. The piping would just need a few tweaks. This may of course mess with center of mass.

Fair enough. I always found the Finch to be a reliable light recon craft that could get me where I needed to quick enough. The F-15 Kestrel and the Finch are personally my favorite workshop fighters.

An update some time ago changed the thrust and consumption for all thrusters and doubled the hydro tank capacity, so I thought I could make it a lot better. I was also never happy with it lacking a connector before.

What led you to redesign the Finch?
