@thewick This goes all people visiting the page too. I'd say the bugs are fairly low considering a TTS mod. But the script is not fully contained and it can be finicky. So if you actually use the process of hitting the buttons and letting the cards load in tandem, then you should be okay. The script will start acting funky if you trying to manually pull cards away and put things where you want them. Just let the script do its thing and don't try to get too creative with it. Maybe in the future these kinks will be worked out.

Also, if the cards and deck isn't loading, they are loaded from a server and it might be down at the time you are playing. If this happens, unfortunately, you will have to play at a later time and try again.

@slimpwarrior @Davewok @EonEarth There is a possibility that I have found a work around with the cards appearing differently on the interface. When you load a deck, there is a dance it will throw out errors if the load had a hiccup (Which I'm still trying to figure out). But at this point, it does seem the cards will now come empty on the interface rather than a completely different card to reduce confusion. I've gotten it down to spitting out as little errors as possible, though some may still appear.

To avoid more spitting errors, I would be weary about spawning decks that are more than 40 cards or so. I seem to have a nice sweet spot at 35 cards or so with little to few errors. It may have something to do with the mod, site, and interface timing out. But let me know if anything else comes up.

@slimpwarrior No, the game may sometimes break because Tabletop is poorly made, but the server may have been done for a short period of time if the failure to load was the deck of cards. But the game is working on my end. Besides some aesthetic errors that load on first load, but the errors are harmless.

@EonEarth There is nothing we can do about that. It's an anomaly problem involving the interface and the way Tabletop Simulator caches things with mods. I've been trying to find fixes for it for months, even with help, there hasn't been a fix. The only fix I can only see working now is if TTS does a major overhaul or I make the mod again all over from scratch.

@eep Yes, it's an ongoing problem not with just the mod but with how TTS works with the interface and the mod cache. Still to this day I haven't found a full solution. I usually tell people to try turning off mod caching in the option to mitigate the problem but it may still persist. If you do know of anyone who may know a workaround for the problem, I'm all ears.

There's something wrong with the deck grabbing algorithm. I play this game pretty often and every deck has an abundance of repeated cards from the game(s) before.

Can we have option to remove the UI card? Our group plays most days and every game there are multiple cards that the UI displays the wrong card that it is unreliable and we normally have to move it out of the way and try our best to ignore it.

@eep unfortunately we don't have the best site available for cost reasons to keep the loading cards from being a burden client side. So it does go down now and then. I apologize for that in advance. I try to make sure its not down for long periods at a time. But it is up atm.

We are typically playing with the same people, sometimes one or two new people, but there have been incidents when we have played back to back games but still gotten repeats from the game before.

@Davewok The card history is dependent on peoples steam IDs. If you're playing with new people constantly, there is a chance you're getting repeats depending on when they started playing with you. Or there is the opposite chance that you have people who have seen majority of the cards and it's just confusing the deck creator to which cards it should give you.

@Adil3tr I'm not sure, I'll have to check, but it should be unless some developer tools were enabled when you played and you moved them.

@Clayton Bigsby Round 1 is 50% explain and 50% memorize. If they don't know the cards, in theory, you will pass the cards around enough that people will memorize the card and you'll learn it. Just essentially think of the cards that people don't know as flashcards. But yes, there is also a discard phase to reduce (not eliminate) cards that no one knows so it can make the games go slightly faster. But many people seem to be fond of the no discard mode.

what do you do with cards that nobody knows? since you have to clear the deck to proceed to the next round, I assume you filter it out with the 'discard' phase?

also, is there a way to browse all the custom decks in the site? the ones in game is pretty limited and the site seems to require a certain keyword to match

@eep Yea, I can understand that problem. It's more of a TTS problem involving mod caching. I'm guessing you have played the game multiple times correct? Like how many times have you played a deck and how long have you played? Also, how frequent does it happen within one deck? Have you ever tried turning off mod caching in the TTS options before spawning a deck?

The U.I. card panel often displays a different card from the actual card in hand. Our group has defaulted to just ignoring the U.I. card, but it is still very big and distracting.

@DavEwok It seems it might a problem with TTS in conjunction with our server being re-added to the mod. You guys have played a lot. So you're essentially seeing cards that you were supposed to have already seen before. But the server got refreshed and I had to re-add a lot of cards and edit them. So it wrote over them and now you're see two cards.

If I remember correctly he said it had something to do with a recent removal of cards and then re-adding them? So there were duplicate cards with the same card ID

@DavEwok it might be more than just that. I doubt it only has to do with Mod Caching because this is a problem I haven't seen or heard of for the 2 years its been on the workshop.

I worked with Platypus, and he figured out the issue. Mod Caching needs to be turned off in configuration settings.

not from what I can tell because the card is viewed by the UI one way for the entire game, but when scored a different way. The one that pops up in the UI is not in the deck at all

About half the cards, the UI displays the wrong card and you have to look what is displayed in the hand for the correct card
