For all how don't get this door started. Just seperate the doors in the middle. Seems they glitched together or something.

Nice work anyway ;) wish to see more awesome stuff like that

(i thought it was broken. so i tried different motortests for an hour... )

clang wants to know your location
khaidayev 19 Oct, 2019 @ 8:11am
it`s overwhelming cool
Vloka the Owl 11 Oct, 2019 @ 1:44pm
@Awakened ST8 Yah, add one and change the number of the action group name for it, save the new group name, delete the old group name, then add the next door and repeat. I'm working on a station that is using 4 of these, I have two doors on already and I find counting down works best to avoid confusion so that the last door you add should not have to be renamed because it's door 1.

is there a secret to adding a second of these to a grid without making them both open and close together? I have two hangers and both are placed. I even changed the group names on the first, and confirmed that it worked before adding the second. Upon adding the second, the first no longer opened or closed. Love the parts you make! Fantastic engineering! I just wish I could get both working together on a single grid. Thanks in advance to anybody with some pointers.

@Zalseon If it has an rotor better on station only, sub grids that have any mass to speak of on ships confuses the heck out of your thrusters and center of mass calculations always.
I had small grid cryopods on rotor because they are sexy but clang ate them quick, and they where not even near the mass of an blastdoor.

@CTH2004 To make a construction like this airtight, you need to use mods, this build is clearly vanilla.

So if you want to use mods, you could use a mod that have forcefield ability

Then you can fiddle with the blocks to create an ilusion of a working airtight hangerdoor.
Quite simple.

Impressive engineering btw!
Zalseon 28 Aug, 2019 @ 2:31pm
Is this hangar design ship stable? or does Lord Klang mandate this only be used on stations?
Hunter 26 Aug, 2019 @ 4:36am
Not sure what I'm doing wrong, but it doesn't seem to be working properly. Reversing the rotors only seems to move the smaller outer sections of the door and not the whole thing?

in response to not being able to make airtight: Merge blocks can be used for doing so without using modded blocks

@autob227

what do you mean? Is it SE being, well, SE, or just being next to impossible to build (Maybe because it's SE?)

If so, maybe SE will one day be stable enough
And, pigs will fly as they say (BTW, they do. Put a pig on an airplane, fly the plane, boom)

@The_Jabberwock Thank you for your compliments, I will make more similar designs.
autocyb227  [author] 4 Aug, 2019 @ 7:36pm
@CTH2004 I can't do this kind of network structure with a combination of size and airtight, thank you for your reply w
CTH2004 4 Aug, 2019 @ 12:54pm
After these, you should make "2.0" varients that are airtight!
Foxtrot-Romeo 3 Aug, 2019 @ 8:03pm
On a more serious note, this is a great design and i will be looking forward to your future builds!
autocyb227  [author] 3 Aug, 2019 @ 1:43pm
@Scorp0102 If you want to use survival mode you have to look at this structure, the projector doesn't work on the subnetwork,Thank you for your reply
Scorp0102 3 Aug, 2019 @ 5:05am
i want to take it into survival but projectors didnt work with rotors how to get this BP in projection ?

@Xsaan What you said did not happen in the test, and my English is not good, so you may not understand your problem.

@Rusted Droid Thank you for your advice
Xsaan 1 Aug, 2019 @ 8:27pm
so I am testing this as a Blueprint i can spawn in and attach to other grids on the new test build. So far , i have been unable to have it spawn in attached to another grid. It either explodes or goes flying through the air. Best i can do is drop it on top of another grid. Any clues how to overcome this? I realize i am using a test build in creative, but its soon to be live.....
Rusted Droid 1 Aug, 2019 @ 5:43pm
@autocyb227 toggle "rotor_lock" will not disable havock simulation on your doors. You need add landing_gear to all moving parts and do "lock" on them to main frame in open/closed state. Your solutions are half_baked not Multiplayer/server friendly...
BlueBrickBike 1 Aug, 2019 @ 12:23pm
@autocyb227 thanks that would be realy helpful seen as i cant seem to get small blocks to connect to large grids
autocyb227  [author] 1 Aug, 2019 @ 10:45am
@BlueBrickBike I can teach you, I will try to make a door with the English version of the game next time, so that you can disassemble it, you can view the data on the rotor.

@PantherDev_01 Thanks for your reply. Your idea is very good
autocyb227  [author] 1 Aug, 2019 @ 10:43am
@Cr1m5on Thank you for your explanation, I have corrected
autocyb227  [author] 1 Aug, 2019 @ 10:39am
@Rusted Droid Thank you for your explanation, you are right, you can install the timer block and set the locking rotor when you use it.

Someone needs to make a station using these.

@Dots This work is not sealed, thank you for your reply.
BlueBrickBike 1 Aug, 2019 @ 10:24am
Can you teach us how to make this stuff
Im really intrested and want to build my own but i dont know where to start
Spuds 1 Aug, 2019 @ 8:21am
very nice build but one thing, change "Hangar door switch power rotor" is the hangar door switch. Click the inversion to realize the switch. to "Hangar door switch power rotor" is the hangar door switch. Click the reverse button to open the door. that way its less confusing:steamhappy::cleanfloppy:
Rusted Droid 1 Aug, 2019 @ 6:16am
When using Big blocks with Small, then they will never be "airtight". Author may consider add some small_Landing_gears to main part of door for them, so they be less stres for Havock simulation (they shake all times and kill sim speed)
AnLambdy 1 Aug, 2019 @ 5:37am
is it airtight?
Dots 1 Aug, 2019 @ 2:45am
this is only a module and i like it but wonder how airtight is this...
