BlackFyre 17 Mar @ 4:05pm
Hansen, I would like to know if I can get the code for this mod, to get it updated. Please let me know. As I would prefer not to start from scratch.

Great Mod,
Thank you in Advance.

Tried the mod, the large sail is the one messed up. Would love to see this project fixed since atlas is in a finished state.

That is a shame to hear, because your mod made so many ships look so much better. We've really been enjoying using your mod. Stupid GS and altering not-needed fine working elements...

If you ever change your mind, it would certainly be appreciated!

Unfortunately, i give up on modding on this game and no longer have a the devkit. Even if i still had it, i would need a devkit patch for fixing the issue and like what we know, they will take month for updating their devkit. Sorry

Is this mod still maintained? It worked like a charm till the last update and now some engrams on sails got merged and ruined.
bruwyvn 3 Nov, 2020 @ 5:27pm
Can you please make weight sails increase crew capacity? It will make this type of sail even more useful.

Hansen  [author] 2 Apr, 2020 @ 5:26pm

gpcstargate 2 Apr, 2020 @ 3:25pm
With the Major Update today .. is everything still good?? I'm on hold for a couple of days if any updating is needed. Thank you
Hansen  [author] 3 Jan, 2020 @ 8:48am
@skye nice to hear but i can't modify the value right now, seem's it's not working for decimal value
Skyefeather 1 Jan, 2020 @ 9:37pm
@Hansensk I noticed a discrepancy in sail values and I didn't know if it was a bug or not. Medium sail values are 1.5 not 1.45
Stalker 31 Dec, 2019 @ 2:44pm
It would be great to just lower the “Sail Units” of the medium and small sails and leave the rest as is.
Stalker 31 Dec, 2019 @ 2:42pm
Hhis mod in not added new good Sail - he is broken big sail only
imbalance, not interested
Hansen  [author] 7 Dec, 2019 @ 1:16pm
Thanks for your comment, i don't know how work the converter from atlas shipwright so i don't know how to make them compatible. Sorry boys
Quantum Joe 7 Dec, 2019 @ 12:40pm
@Hansensk Great mod. We use it on our server. Is there any chance you can make these sails work with the blueprint converter from the Atlas Shipwright mod? The converter changes vanilla blueprints into AS BP's with all the stats. But it doesn't recognize you vanilla overridden sails unfortunately.

That would be completely amazing, and thanks again :steamhappy:

So my sails came unglued when I crossed into another server. Help?
Cobalt 12 Oct, 2019 @ 3:33pm
For me it was necessary to respec my char and to build a new loom. Then i could build the new Sails ;)
AwesomeGlenny 9 Oct, 2019 @ 8:53am
Where do I make the vanilla sails from please??
Amris 10 Sep, 2019 @ 10:23pm
Thank you for the clarification! :)
Hansen  [author] 10 Sep, 2019 @ 2:09pm
@[*TGC*] Amris When you add this mod, the old skill and sail are remplaced. That's why you can produce anymore your previous blueprint because this is considerer as a new skill. If you still manage to craft your old blueprint after adding the mod, you will receive vanilla sail without any change of speed etc...
This mod is design for been use on the beginning of your save / server because you can have problem like this (old blueprint and sail with new ) :)
Amris 10 Sep, 2019 @ 10:25am
After adding the mod we can still produce sails from our old (pre-mod) sail blueprints as long as we do not respec our chars and do not learn the sail-building skills new. However as long as we don't respec our chars and relearn the sail-building we can NOT produce any sails from new sail blueprints that we found after adding the mod.

The opposite is also true: Once we add the mod and respec our chars, re-learning the sail-building skills we can NOT use our OLD sail blueprints anymore.

1) what happens to the existing ships when the mod is added? Do the existing sails that were already on the ships pre-mod get changed to the new stats or do we have to replace the old sails with sails that have been built after the mod was added?

2) do sails that I produce from 'old' blueprints (blueprints that I aquired before we added the mod) produce sails with the new modded stats (higher speed etc)?

Thank you!

EvgeniZ 30 Jul, 2019 @ 6:43pm
Noticed a mistake by me on my first comment, where i mentioned 3 small sail sloops, checked the numbers again and forgot that sloops only can go up to 2.0 units, therefore 3 small sails even with the point reduction are still not possible, but 2 small or 1 medium like in vanilla. So its actually fine :praisesun:
EvgeniZ 30 Jul, 2019 @ 4:26am
Also since speed plays a big role in this game, i personally would prefer if all sailtypes had the acceleration stat for blueprints (the one that increases both top speed and acceleration). Otherwise Handlings and Weight Sails get left behind when using blueprints.
Hansen  [author] 30 Jul, 2019 @ 12:30am
@gpcstargate Should works because they add new sails and don't modify vanilla sails

@EvgeniZ Appreciate :)
For me a schooner with a large sail and a small is so much more weird than a sloops with a possible 3 small sails ;d
EvgeniZ 29 Jul, 2019 @ 7:28pm
Haven't tried it out, but thats exactly what i was complaining about in vanilla ATLAS, i really hope Grapeshot Devs take a note from this. The only thing that would worry me about overlooking this quickly is 3 small sail sloops which would look weird but the rest looks reallly good from the numbers. Good Job. :cuphead:
gpcstargate 29 Jul, 2019 @ 6:44pm
Question .. will this work with TS (Total Sails) .. I'm using it now .. but looking for something a little better in performance and look more real. Thank you
Falco 29 Jul, 2019 @ 6:04am
whaou ! Congrat's!
Okasen 28 Jul, 2019 @ 8:33pm
Good mod, I really hope the devs take note.
Howard 28 Jul, 2019 @ 11:02am
Oh and hello Visual :)
Howard 28 Jul, 2019 @ 11:01am
Nice work @hansensk :)
Hansen  [author] 27 Jul, 2019 @ 11:40pm
@Howard Yes :)

@123 It's adjusts all vanilla sails without adding any additionnal sail or BP.
No ini options planned for this mod or at least not for the moment :)
elp 27 Jul, 2019 @ 11:23pm
Just to confirm, this adjusts all vanilla sails rather than adding extra blueprints? If that's the case then it's perfect, also adding ini options is a huge plus from me
Howard 27 Jul, 2019 @ 8:06pm
No ini settings just load mod and go?
