will this mod still work even tho the last update was years ago? thinking of doing a campaign where PMC forces fight to liberate the west of canada from the Trudeau regime and concerned if this mod will work with the last Arma 3 update

Having served with the CAF, we would need to make the LSVW hit 70km an hour first, and that may take us some years.

To build onto Rusty's comment, the C8A4 is currently in trials at Petawawa, I have yet to hear or find proof of a C7A3 coming.

The C8A4 is made by Colt Canada (formerly Diemaco), it is based on the MRR carbine.
featuring a Magpul M-LOK™ Rail Attachment System, bayonet lug, green Cerakoted® upper receiver and furniture, and the typical 15.7 inch barrel, it is supposed to replace the C8A3 carbine.

In game there is no such thing. You could pretend the USA is giving funds to the the CAF so they can get themselves MX rifles, or you can pretend they use the SPAR-16 (HK416A5) with Canadian made parts and features.

This is still a good mod, I personally recommend it if you want a Armaverse-ish take on the Canadian Armed Forces.

Agreeing with both dihelathewjan and Volkov, maybe they should use one of the 5.56 rifles. Possibly the SPAR-16 or even the TRG-21.

The CAF is too poor to afford fancy MXs, or at least an exact copy, speaking as a RCAC Cadet.
The C7 and C8 do have different features from the M16 and M4, but yeah they're pretty much the same.

It's a licensed production of the MX, like the C7 is to the M16

I think it'd be interesting to see a Canadian CTRG group - given each unit seems to be a different nationality (14 is British, 15 is American). Some of code for Apex even mentions groups from Georgia, Ireland, Portugal and Canada.

Also - but it is only my opinion - I think the Arma's NATO gear is not representative of next gen Canadian Forces. I think CF 2035 gear should be something more closer of the Livonian Defense Forces (with the modular plate carrier body armor and the combat fatigue), or maybe the AAF gear (like the modular combat helmet). At least, it could be a mix of NATO and Livonian stuff.

But like I said, its only my opinion :P

The Canadian Forces are currently testing new camo for the next gen uniforms this fall. A new pattern could replace the arid and temperate woodland CADPAT around 2027.

This new camo pattern is known as ''Prototype J''. It is a mix of the arid and green CADPAT versions and could look like a digital version of Multicam, something closer to the US Marine Corps MARPAT.

This new camo could be a more universal pattern. Even in Canada CADPAT is way too green and useless in urban environment. The new Prototype J is suppose to be better in these environments and temperate/arid countries where Canadian forces are mostly operating.

Moreover, the Canadian SF will still use Multicam. This pattern could also spread out in CF.

It's really nice to have mods fleshing out the 2035 era in the Arma Universe, at first I didn't really like the 2035 era but it's kinda grown on me

Wow these are great! My only complaint is that there is no weapon to replace the C6 7.62 GPMG that the Canadian Army currently uses. But other mods have very nice GMPG's
