Yes @Goober I had it too. Seems like it is an error linked to the assets of the mod.

@Walex I'm having the exact same problem (game crashing a couple turns after Eisenhower declares war) which part of the code do I need to remove to make it work?

Hey so after sitting down a few days ago and working on this mod, the Audio section of the Art Defines file must have been coded wrong or the MP3 files are corrupted.

I have removed that section from the code and all crashing issues stopped.

Yea I’m also having some issues with this mod atm but I am also using over 100 mods at a time. Regardless the whole thing works when I DONT use this mod. Otherwise it seems to crash anytime I start a war within about 10-20 turns maximum.

I’m a decent coder so I’m going to pull this apart and maybe take out the atoms for peace trait and replace it with JFD’s Lincoln trait, only for science buildings.

If this fixes the issue I’ll update here!

How does your mod work? What exactly does it reference or try to change? I noticed that Windows Defender is crashing my game by not allowing changes to a restricted file. Someone else is having a problem like this. Any ideas?

Any reason this mod might cause a conflict with Rise To Power or something else?
I am also playing on Mac so no community patch.

While I'm sure the Atoms for Peace is fine, I would think that Eisenhower's civ would benefit from the US Highway system. Given Civ V doesn't have different road types like Civ IV did via mods, I'm thinking some form of extra commerce along with a small science boost.

Also, maybe instead of a science boost, some form of food or population boost to mimic the post-war Boom (especially the Baby Boom)

Overpowered. Start tall & build Oxford University. Then go wide & get a free tech with every city connected to the capital. Connect a conquered City, build a harbor = new tech. I play huge maps (Marathon or Epic/Legendary) so there is plenty of room for cities. Launched the spaceship by 1700. The tech spawning is too powerful (But I will admit it was fun).

This seems massively imbalanced. I've got to 1904 with 5 Future Techs and overwhelming forces. World Leader easy on extra spies. And the Great Library kept popping up with double tech advances. No competition!

So testing with Events and Decisions I keep getting "Could not load Font XML File" when opening the menu as this civ.

He said Yes to that. And similarly, if you build a scienc ebuilding in another city, it counts as being in the capital as well if connected.

Seemed clear enough to me.



1. I don't see the word "yes" anywhere in grant's reply.

2. grant also said "so it won't be shared across all cities connected with the capital", hence the seeming contradiction.

Obviously the author of the mod is the best to respond,.

the way i've coded it is that the turn after you connect a certain city with the capital, the capital will gain any science buildings the city has and the city will gain any science buildings the capital has.

What exactly does "share all Science Buildings between them" mean? Will effects stack? do you only need to build them in the capital and then it counts as built in all cities connected?

Seems to be a few bugs with this:

Lockheed U-2 is an aircraft unit, but it replaces the paratrooper, a ground unit. Because of this, neither of the units appear in the tech tree and they are not available for production.

Also, part of the UA does not work as described, regarding the Naval and Air unit modifier. On deity, I denounced other civs with greater military presence, but was not seeing a positive modifier boost in the production interface for neither naval or air units. I don't think the policy tree filled/tenet adopted condition function as described either.

Other than that, the city connection/science boost seems to be working fine.
