pretty sure the ak is based off the one in Insurgency Sandstorm, which (I believe) is based off the modified AKs that the russian Counter Terrorism group called Alfa group (or Alpha). see here:

Wow ! You made a holographic sight.Could the version of the AK 12 with a holographic sight to make a vertical handle,so it looked cool? By the way,could still move holographic sight-level gate,and near the handle it looks a little weird

Why are there two sets of iron sights on the one with no optics? Why is the red dot mounted so far forward? A lot of things that don't make sense.
