Thanks for the heads up

Ah, just coincidence that I enabled this mod after you added the feature in Fix Bugs. Sorry.
I turned off that option in Fix Bugs and it's better now.

No, that'd be the Turn Off Upgrades in fix bugs, I'll have to make it ignore shifts.

Is it possible this mod might be breaking building upgrades?
Since enabling this mod, my factories that have been upgraded with "Automation", school spire, etc all seem to automatically disable their upgrade as soon as the building hits an inactive shift (e.g. overnight), even though the building itself is still turned on.

Thanks so much for letting me know what the actual problem was and the fix! :steamthis: Abandoned my last two games partly because of this bug, only partly.

Just taking a check through my mods, seeing what Droknar and Maxmilian wrote, makes me think that this may be causing permanent building malfunctions I had earlier this week when I encountered dust devils, which I just fixed using the ECM mod to 'CleanAndFix'. I'll test it now to see.

I think I know what I did, should be good now.

I'll take a look

This has issues. When the bar is empty for example due to scrubbers and the building breaks, from a lightning strike for example it will never be fixed. I tried your request maintenance mod, the button popped for a second but then the scrubber removed the last dust from the building and now the building is in permanent broken state. The only way to fix this is for the building to accumulate dust for the button to appear again. Sadly when you disable this mod the game remembers it and the buildings won't accumulate dust normally, only from dust storms or from other dust producing buildings.

It does seem that if a building breaks before its maintenance bar fills then it won't be repaired. I guess cause when the building breaks its maintenance bar should fill up but if it is stopped it won't.

Thank you for this mod! When I mothball a place I expect it to be sealed up after the last people or drones clear it out. Why it still needs maintenance when it isn't actively being used is beyond me. Sure over a decade or two there might be a problem, but for a few months or a year I might expect a single unit of whatever the maintenance consumable is to do that, but not a constant monthly drain.

This was rare, the cold spell came very early; before Sub-Surface Heater could be researched.

ChoGGi  [author] 6 Oct, 2019 @ 11:39am
Hmm, I could add a mod option to temporarily disable the effect of the mod?
JohnNav 6 Oct, 2019 @ 10:57am
No biggie :)
I reloaded game save and turned them back on after they Froze; then when thawed the Maintenance Bar filled to broke, then drones fixed them ;)

That what I would think, it just ignored the manual order. The 2 Fuel Industry's where turned on and need little maintenance; however, the 'broke down' sign was over them after the thaw.
Normally the Maintenance bar would max out after thawed.
ChoGGi  [author] 6 Oct, 2019 @ 9:39am
Huh, does manually sending a drone over to repair it work?
JohnNav 6 Oct, 2019 @ 8:23am
I had an issue during a Freeze and I had (Fuel Industry off) To save electric.
After Freeze, they were still broke; but maintenance was OK?
In this scenario drones would not repair until maintenance needs bar was full..

Turn on all building before freeze ends may be needed

In stock, they don't receive maintenance when off, but the deterioration continues so that after a while when turned back on maintenance is required for them to operate.

I wouldn't have bothered making it if it was. Mind posting a screenshot of this msg?

I'm confused, isn't this already a feature? It says in-game that buildings don't require maintenance when turned off.

Mars bless you for this!

Good greif! Why isn't this in the stock game? :)
