Updated the numbers a bit, the space heater both should actually max out at 1600C (1873.15K), and I've changed it to up the heating a lot to make it a little more "cheaty".
ShinseiTom  [author] 30 May, 2020 @ 5:47am
When I compiled and put it in the local dev mod folder it worked in sandbox mode. So hopefully, as I said. Haven't tested the uploaded workshop version to make sure yet.

It's just in time!
samli333 30 May, 2020 @ 4:48am
:steamhappy:So can the latest version be used now?
ShinseiTom  [author] 30 May, 2020 @ 4:44am
Hopefully updated, sorry it took so long. I'm just now getting back into playing a little. I'll get to my chiller buildings soon.

As for the changes... yeah, I haven't changed anything yet. Will get to that after I update the chillers.

Pumpking, I believe it does generate more than it uses. I think the base one even does that, I only multiplied the liquid heater input/output by 1.5.
HolographicWings 9 Apr, 2020 @ 11:18pm
update please

please update

MrMacavity 9 Mar, 2020 @ 4:38am
Seems to be broken after the update sadly

这个怕不是要用钨来接电,高效蒸汽发生器
Pumpking 8 Feb, 2020 @ 4:30pm
Did I calculated wrong or this device producing more power than it consumes ? I don't know how but I tried it several times and 2 steam turbines connected to 1 heater and system is working non stop
Lucky Strike 6 Feb, 2020 @ 9:47am
Its working for me^^
ShinseiTom  [author] 5 Feb, 2020 @ 1:01pm
With the new updates to the .NET runtime, I believe these might not work anymore? I'll update when able, but it will have to wait a bit.

When I update it I'll also look into changing some of the values around as-per the comments about a stronger versions and fixing the K vs C discrepancy. I'll throw source somewhere too if I can figure out how.
Seibutsu 5 Jan, 2020 @ 8:12pm
I don't see how this is game breaking. This just seems like basic QOL to me. It's basic physics. It's not very hard to melt rock and metals. You could do it in your back yard with a propane torch and a small homemade clay forge.

Methane burns at 2000c.

Incandescent light bulbs use tungsten filaments that are heated to 3000c.

If you have tungsten wire and enough electric power to run through it you can heat just about anything to 3400c. I shouldn't have to use magma from a volcanic eruption to be able to heat anything above 950c. it's rediculous.
Pumpking 28 Nov, 2019 @ 3:03pm
Hi , I don't want to steal your work but can you send me source code ? Your mod works really well but I want to change the temp limit a little bit . If you don't want to share it , can you add a config file so I can change the values ?
遗憾都是你啊 22 Sep, 2019 @ 10:16pm
I hope there will be a stronger version so as to follow the spring that is easy to cool down and erupt permanently. Thank you very much.
Nick Pride 10 Sep, 2019 @ 10:48am
apparently temperature you specify is in K, not in C, space heater for example heats only to 1326.9C (1600K), nowhere near 1600C (1873K) unfortunately
The Tempted Man 30 Aug, 2019 @ 2:58pm
Wish the tepidizer used 960 wats like the cooling one, 1440 is overkill for my close quarter designs...
ChirpyWhistle 13 Aug, 2019 @ 1:54pm
a nice mod for me since for some odd reason my base temp. has been going down into the -100s or more even with 5 space heaters so i can now fix that.
头部以下都是胸 13 Aug, 2019 @ 9:48am
超强化版的液体温度计和空间加热器。
Tepidizer规格:
最高温度800C
1440瓦
6000kdtu/s周围水
96 kdtu/s本身
空间加热器规格:
1600摄氏度(!!!!)最高温度
480瓦
128kdtu/s环绕空气
16 kdtu/s
Spock The Builder 4 Aug, 2019 @ 7:01pm
A possible way to fake it would be to replace a heating units inputs to be a liquid sink, add a liquid output of a set temp like with resource generators
ShinseiTom  [author] 4 Aug, 2019 @ 11:31am
@The Tempted Man
It was hard to even get started! There's apparently no "here's how to setup vs" tutorial for modding or anything. So I watched the youtube videos of Darth Nihilus on how to do simple mods, pulled the template mod from ONI-launcher, and went to town. At least I already know the basics of C# and .Net stuff. Harmony is interesting too.

@Spock the Builder
Yeah, I wish for that too :os_pancakes:
Don't know how to add that right now, and a simple temp automation was good enough for me for now. I'll look around and see if I can find anything when I can.
Spock The Builder 4 Aug, 2019 @ 10:25am
Would be cool if the heaters had a shutoff temp setting so we wouldn't need all the automation stuff
The Tempted Man 4 Aug, 2019 @ 3:18am
I remember when I trierd to reverse engineer a cooling mod so that it would heat things up, it was so difficulty as a newbie I basically changed few numbers in visual studio for already existing mod item and that was it, now to cool things down again because that other item originally did that, I had to learn cooling loops.
ShinseiTom  [author] 4 Aug, 2019 @ 3:00am
The "submersed" amount required is set at 0 I think. So basically, if it's touching a liquid it'll heat it up. But yes, a super space heater is something I want to make too.

The space heater/chiller is interesting. I thought setting it to non-floodable would make it work all the time, but it's literally the opposite of the tepidizer. It has to have some gas nearby to run. So if it gets completely submersed (the tiles above it are liquid) it still stops working :/

I guess there's some kind of "what does it heat up" setting somewhere, but I must've missed it or mistook it for something else. I'm super new at this.
The Tempted Man 4 Aug, 2019 @ 2:39am
I wouldnt mind the gas version of it as well, since you can put the chiller in the water too. Having to be submersed is unecessary imho.
ShinseiTom  [author] 4 Aug, 2019 @ 2:14am
Welcome! Hopefully it works like you would expect!
The Tempted Man 4 Aug, 2019 @ 2:00am
Thank you a lot for this :)
