@sundog005 You are so very welcome. The game really didn't need Sir Lora at all....

dumb character and thank you for this

@Freeasabird, he does give spells, both very anoying and rude. He has nothing to say for all races, and hope they all wil crumbel to dust. The only thing he cares about is his cat, The Great Acorn, and himself! I think i speak for all of us when i say that it is super anoying when someone only cares about himself. There is no I in teamwork.

@Snipe agreed :)

You want all game thinking he might just be worth it. He isn't

Doesn't he teach you new spells? i remember after a particular part on the starting island he begrudgingly taught me a new spell i didn't have at the time.

You're very welcome!

I haven't even tried to uninstall/not install Lora. But I'll be using this mod since his "entertainment factor" evaporates after the first play through.
Thank you for this!

Yes, I agree!

I think even if I do manage to fix it properly through steam I may leave this up for anyone else experiencing the same problem.

sounds like an issue with steam and the game if disabling the dlc fails to work. but now I have a mod to force it should I need to. I do love mods to smash a problem, how ever small(EHEHEHAHAHA).

@Epica242

What?! Did you have to do anything else besides disable it?

The sheer amount of testing we've done for this is ridiculous... Which is why we resorted to just modding him out, but we'd love to get it working through just disabling it.

While testing, we googled it and found other people were having the same issue.

We even thought about buying the GOG version to test it, as it's DLC system is a bit more modular...

So glad to hear someone got it to work!

oh thats strange disabling it worked for me
Charlie  [author] 9 Aug, 2019 @ 7:50pm
Disabling it doesn't seem to work for us.
We tried unchecking the DLC. We tried doing a fresh install without the DLC there.
If the game detects you own it, that little squirrel shows up no matter what...

u know u can just disable the dlc? so we dont really need this mod xD
Charlie  [author] 9 Aug, 2019 @ 5:11pm
Yes for sure! :P

My problem is that once I see a character in need I always feel I must help them right through to the end, which is why we felt it best to just remove him from the game!

Same goes the Black Cat, which is why we have a mod for it too...

@Maggikel Hmmm yes, tasty Squirrel soul... yuum!
Charlie  [author] 9 Aug, 2019 @ 5:08pm
It takes a long time before you get source vampirism! We made this mod because we don't want to play any part of the game for any duration of time with Sir Lora. We just want to play the game with the characters we choose, without having to babysit any pets.

You could also just eat him once you learn source vampirism...

Just take off the checkmark in the DLC menu on Steam.
