It should, mine is a 360 one. But you probably need to install the Kinect 1 SDK first.

Im not sure but in order to make all problems solved with making gmod see kinect, i suggest to create synchronizer that gonna take all data from Ipi Recorder and bring it right in to gmod

if anyone is wondering on a way to use this, i recommend you try clutch controllers, put one on each joint of the ragdoll and connect them to an entity thats also jointed in about the same position and have very high cfriction

Hey there, I finally got my kinect working and I tried out what you suggested! I'm having a little bit of trouble. When I plug two of the outputs into a vector subtraction gate and mouse over the gate to see what the result is, it's always 0, almost as if there's no vectors going into it at all. Does that make sense? And thanks for your time!

The regular wire stuff should work just fine. The easiest way to get started is probably by calculating the vectors between two joints (by subtracting) and then calculating the dot product of them. For example, if you want the angle of your left elbow, you calculate the dot product of (Elbow_Left - Shoulder_Left) and (Elbow_Left - Wrist_Left ). At least I think that's how it works. It's late. I forgot all my vector math.

Wow, this addon seems like it's just what I've been looking for!! I'm trying to make a mech torso controlled with Kinect!!!

Any suggestions on where to start? Would the HiSpeed interface be necessary for such a task or do you think I could get away with the normal?

Once you can control ragdolls this sensor should work too.
