Does this still work?

Can you add Toxoid names?

Why isn't this ironman-compatible?

This mod doesn't work for me. It only includes a handful of names, and disabled all of the vanilla names leaving a significantly smaller species namelists. Might be a compatibility issue but I don't have any mods that should create an issue

Thanks for great mod!

Enjoy now having 10,000 lithoid names instead of 33

Nice, since I am bad with coming up with names for stuff I generally use the random buttons to create my empires, more variety will be a lot better.
Ermedo  [author] 15 Oct, 2019 @ 12:29pm
@NoShotz Both, though (contrary to me accidentally claiming otherwise earlier) the species name and the homeworld name will not be matched for player-created empires.
NoShotz 15 Oct, 2019 @ 10:31am
Does this mod make it so when creating an empire the random button for species has more names, or is it just the names of species you find in a game?
Ermedo  [author] 12 Oct, 2019 @ 3:35pm
@jting1969 I must admit I'm a bit stumped. I thought 2.4 might have messed with the mod but it still works on my end. Keep in mind the mod needs a new game to work and that you can still get some premade empires (like humans and Blorg) but if neither of that explains the problem then I'm really not sure what the cause might be
Sunny1010 12 Oct, 2019 @ 2:36pm
I am still seeing the names from the base game
Ermedo  [author] 12 Oct, 2019 @ 12:12pm
@jting1969 Could you elaborate? Does the mod not show up in the launcher or are you still seeing names from the base game?
Sunny1010 12 Oct, 2019 @ 11:26am
I don't think the mod is working for me?
Shrooblord 24 Sep, 2019 @ 6:00pm
Yeah, epic. Don't know what else I can say. Just great.

@Blackbomber88 The homeworld will generally have a name similar to the species, so (to take some examples) the Labythi start on Labyvo, the Litmon on Litmojob and the Nokseians on Nokse.
UltimateVictory 13 Aug, 2019 @ 4:53pm
If I use this to generate my own empire name will it pair the homeworld name with the species or will I have to randomize 10000 times?

Also Paradox really needs this in the basegame
Rafael 13 Aug, 2019 @ 2:13am
o god he added the combine
Lilithvia 12 Aug, 2019 @ 9:51pm
@Ermedo there's a few different ones then just that. Should be lists of all races and such in the Wookiepedia.

Great idea for a mod, gonna try it!
Ermedo  [author] 12 Aug, 2019 @ 12:19pm
@lilithvia Potentially, but I'm not sure there are enough conventions to create a Star-Wars-y vibe through random generation alone. I'd need to know if there are many patterns unique to the universe, the only thing I can think of is a heavy use of vowels with simple consonant clusters.
Lilithvia 11 Aug, 2019 @ 12:48pm
can you do this but with star wars naming conventions instead?
Ermedo  [author] 11 Aug, 2019 @ 3:25am
@master zero Technically you can, but it won't do much as almost all species are generated at the start of the game, and this mod won't change already existing species.

@MihaP Since empires take their names from species (or from their home planet/home star) this mod does indirectly add new empire names, but the only files added are in common/species_names.
MP 11 Aug, 2019 @ 12:00am
Empire names. Not species.
master zero 10 Aug, 2019 @ 10:54pm
Can you use this with an ongoing game?
Ermedo  [author] 9 Aug, 2019 @ 2:52pm
@Striver No, all names come from the random generation. I did get some interesting names while testing the generation, like Avian "Diosyaurians" and Humanoid Bosnians, so maybe I'll put them in at some point. Any given name should appear less than once in a thousand games though, even on massive galaxies, so you'd need some serious luck in an easter egg hunt!
Darmug 9 Aug, 2019 @ 5:42am
Did you add any Easter Eggs names?

Thank you! I have no idea why the devs haven't added that many names. I often find repeats within the same game. Thank you.
