Still works for me. I'm using Living World, Slopeless and Better Building System, for clarity's sake.

Three issues that people should aware of ahead of time, though:
--After you've placed & built your platform/s, go ahead and save & reload the game. Until you do the engineer job AI will be *entirely* incapable of operating on the platforms.

--Some of the platform versions of buildings partially latch onto nearby settlements rather than recognizing yours. You'll need to use Shift+F12 to remove them. You can set their public/private and locked/unlocked setting, though, strangely enough.

--A lot of objects can't be placed directly onto them. Storage, lights, wind turbines, etc. If it can't be placed inside or atop a building, it's going to have to be on the dirt. Like an animal. So plan for this ahead of time.

Yeah sure, go right ahead. Haven't looked at this in about a year, though, so I don't know if patches affected it or not. I would assume it works fine still, though.

i tried it and was presently surprised to see the game say that it fixed 2 buildings but the platform doesnt seam to be one of it, i rebuild it in a slightly different location and messed around with it but still nothing.
odd thing is that on new location i can climb the stairs and one corner of the platform but the rest doesnt work. and the problem extends to another building from another mod (Deffensive wall tower 5)

I'd recommend rebuilding the navmesh. I think it's bound to ctrl-shift-f11 by default? That should also help with weird pathing issues in the base game, too.

Iv ran into an odd problem..
I finished building the platform (in the gray desert, flat area just to test how it works and all) and after reloading the game, none of the characters i have can actually climb on top of it.

The platform touches the ground fine and so does stair case but nobody cna climb up there, they will mostly just walk under it, i tried few things but so far nothing worked. Any suggestions on what the issue might be or how to fix it?

Im placing the platform buildings ontop of the platforms and the buildings are clipping through. Is there something I need to do first to prevent this?

The first thing that I would recommend for fixing any Kenshi pathing problems, mods or not, is to rebuild the navmesh. I don't remember what the default controls for that are off the top of my head, should be in the Kenshi controls menu. This doubly applies for a mod like this where you're adding a very large construct to the game. Aside from that I don't really have any answers, as the Kenshi modding toolkit gives no way (that I'm aware of) to affect character pathing.

If you have a friend with a pirated or non-steam copy of the game, someone on steam should be able to download any kenshi mod, and copy the mod out of steamapps/common/Kenshi/mods, and just send the files.

It'd be awesome to see those ships. Would you consider making various sizes of them so players can get options? Like, I'd like my home ship to be the big flag ship while everything else is put on smaller ships.

On a side note, do you think bridges would work on these? I've yet to try bridges at all so I don't know how they really function. Platforms connected by bridges would be awesome

I will admit, I did modify the lagoon platform in the same vein as Slopeless does, the max slope to 9999, and then I also tweaked the building height on the platform itself. That last one might've been the trigger as it was what let me build so scrunched into the ground as seen in my screenshots. Currently getting another attempt together without my tweaks to see if that was the cause, and also redesign my entire layout to not need the bottom layer of walls (I couldn't get any good angles for turrets as it was).

Think the sheer amount of crabs + raiders was also a problem, shoving each other into the gate and then through. You know, regular Kenshi stuff.

I will get this to work, one way or another. I NEED MY FLAT SURFACES!

Sorry all, have been out on break away from tech and whatnot. In order, Enter Name, sorry you couldn't get it to work. I'll take a look when I have some free time, might be a week or so. I would be surprised if there was no way to get lights working, but Kenshi IS pretty screwy at times so we will see. Wertologist, I will take a look. Seems like a fun project. And back to Enter Name again. I... Legitimately have no idea what's going on with those crab raiders. Seems like a Kenshi problem, definitely not something I can imagine fixing with the Kenshi modding toolkit.

Here's a few screenshots to show my layout. Using General Modifications and More Buildings to construct the larger walls/gate and the drills they are working on. All actual buildings seen are the platform versions from this mod.

So, I was enjoying this mod a bunch, the large flat area was prime real estate, especially in that caldera in Stobe's Gamble. Yet, somehow a few crab raiders were appearing past my gate/walls placed on the platform through the editor (moved there after I built them). Some sort of glitch where they would run underneath the platform and be teleported up. I had tested this before, closed my gate and my people would not move when I selected outside the platform. (I've reloaded multiple times before, making sure the navmesh was ok)

I decided to build more walls, placing them underneath my current walls with the editor again. I got it all nice and pretty, ye tragedy eventually struck. While the second crab raid was teleportation-less, my workers ceased their traveling. They were all operating machines moved up onto the platform previously, but would no longer path to other machines. They'd work if moved manually close enough, but otherwise stand still once it was full.

I haven't been able to really experiment with this mod yet due to not having a base fitting for it and the research being expensive/lengthy, so I don't know what you have included. I don't know if you take ideas/requests, but I got one.

I'm relatively new to the game. Haven't really explored it all yet. Just got to the lagoon area and saw a bunch of old rusted ships. Maybe make a platform out of that?

They don't have a navmesh, but I did notice that some are fully intact. Maybe make various sizes of them to place on water to have a little boat base? I feel like that'd be fun to work with.

Regardless, thanks for the mod. Always nice adding new things to a game

Don't think that worked for me. Went in and just directly made changes to the parts on a throwaway mod to test it out. I changed every torch/lamp part I could find that affected footprint, which seemed like every part. Small things, so only 1 or two parts to most. Anyways, load it up, and nah. Not even campfires, which already have a default footpath at false work. Everything gives the "Too close to another building" response.

Well, except one item. Some sorta gas lamp, maybe from one of my mods. I found it while checking every type of light source in the editor, it's the only one that's green for most of the platform. I looked at it in the FCS, but none of its part settings looked any different than any other ceiling light.

Guess it's back to building posts on workable ground and then moving them with the editor. Getting good at it, as the base game doesn't allow the finite control I prefer.

I'll just build a bunch of lights and then move them around with the editor like I've been doing with most my other stuff. Kinda curious how you made this mod so I can tweak other furniture/buildings to work on it. Notice most give the "Too close to another building" warning.

Currently using this in conjunction with the editor to move my working area onto the platform with walls defending it. The first night I'm actually paying attention to my workers, I realized the need for lights is apparent. Torches and street lamps aren't placeable, nor are any other source of light. While this can be bypassed through lantern usage, do you have any plans to make some platform specific lights?

I'm glad you're enjoying it! I have mentioned this a little earlier, and I might put it into the description. Kenshi is very strange with modding when it comes to building placement. As far as I am aware, it is not possible for me to add functionality for wall placement into my mod. Though I understand that using the in game editor can feel a bit like cheating to some people (hence the entire point of this mod), I think it's your best bet for putting walls onto platforms.

im currently trying to build up my 3th city in my map, this time is using 4 plataforms (i cant make small bases ....) i was wondering if there is any chance from you to add walls for the platform, like tier 2 and 3 (up to t4) with the doorsgate and ramp, also i think there is no need for t1 or t5 from others mods.

I would recommend trying out the in game editor for that. AFAIK it is probably not possible for me to make my mod support it, just because of how picky the game is about wall placement. The fact that I got this to work outside of the editor is already a bit of a hack, so the game doesn't really respond well to it with things like walls.

It should not need an import. You might need to use ctrl-shift-f11 once or twice after placing, though, to rebuild the navmesh.
