@godzilla540 Yeah, for some reason when I reinstalled the mod in the menu it was disabled by default. Re-enabling added the base weapon to my inventory. Although I could have sworn there were more than one version of the Megarocket with manual aim, though I might just be misremembering.

the minirocket should have been automatically added to your weapon list. If its not appearing, maybe enable the mod and close the game and launch it again. If its done right, the minirocket should appear to the top of your weapon list.

As for the upgrades, yeah when the mod is uninstalled and installed, it resets the items to appear either in the shop or your inventory. To my knowledge, every mod that involves items does this.

For the badge seller, if we are talking about the vanilla badge seller. Once the mod is re-enabled, the upgrades should start being cycled through his items that he could sell. Since he only has so much that he can sell at a time, the megarocket sometimes can be for sale, while other times it is not.

In the past I have had this mod installed. uninstalled, and I have just installed it again, and I notice that I'm missing the base minirocket tube and some of the upgrades, even though the badge seller says he has nothing left.

There is aiming capabilities with this mod! If you use keyboard & mouse, you can aim and shoot. In this, its an upgrade. I eventually made the aiming built in into the guns in later mods.

I had plans to maybe make the aiming built into all of the weapons. But, never got around to it yet.

Technically it's not. It's the first that I made. But this was the first "gun-like" mod made.

Funny, you know what A Hat in Time needs in terms of mods. We have Ratchet & Clank and Sly cooper mods... What about poor Jak & Daxter? Thus, the trio of the PS2 platformers would be complete for A Hat in Time.

So yeah, I've tested and can confirm that thje scooter aiming works properly with the First Person Badge I've been using. There isn't any offset like I might have expected.
This would be pretty fun to use but it's also pretty great as-is. Kinda like if the MegaMan 2D gameplay came into 3D, as you still have to jump to change what you're aiming at.
Maybe I'll make my own weapon sometime! It sounds like a cool project.

If you can find a way to add some sort of aiming mechanics, then you can combine it with the First- Person Badge to make a First-Person Shooter.

I have looked into manual aiming and shooting up and down for this Hahasamain.

I tried to take the same aiming and shooting mechanics from the Subcon Mail scooter and import it into at least one of the rocket launchers. It sort-of works. However, it is vary crude and buggy the way I scripted it, but I have no clue where to go from here. I would have to study a bit more on how the game works before I can say it is "good enough" for general use.

If I cannot figure it out, maybe I will finally check out that AHiT Discord channel and see if I can get some outside help from there.

Hopefully, I can add some sort of manual-like aiming to this and future weapons...

I technicalyy could be possible TGB but it would need alot of instancing and speedrunners cant use it (unless they are running a mod catgory) and with most bosses it breaks because bosses go by kismeted damage types not whats in their code

is there a way to add in like damage to this weapon? maybe like 2 damage mafia 1 dmg bird 3dmg bosses (cause bosses got tons of health and this 3dmg on bosses is great for speedrunners and2dmg on the cats that steal stuff

This is super fun.
The only thing I could ask for is a way to (maybe through configuration) enable aiming upwards and downwards. It'd pair well with an FPS-type mod I found.

This breaks Conductor. You can beat him as soon as he does the heart to heart, and you can just grab the time piece and leave him.

You should be able to fix the mu kill (and conductor/grooves quick kill) if you instance the damage type to not effect mu or the directors, check how cappy does it for a refrence, its aomething like
Pawn.is(class’hat_boss_whatever’)

That would make it so it dosnt damage that boss so it cant break them
