Ah. That is because the mod is outdated. Not due to the contents of the mod per se. I will have to repackage the mods and reupload them.

I can try. Its wording makes it sound like it should never negatively affect you, so I see no problems with that.

Hey, can you by any chance make PyrX flash strike op - the Promethean one that turns sectors volcanic - targetable on friendly sectors? It's considered hostile operation, and one can't strike own colony sectors/forward bases with it.

That is fair. That being said mostly in PVP games. AI can see you when you are camouflaged, and expedited forest movement is still slower than road movement (and the terraform removes all roads). I highly doubt people use this mod in PVP so I still see it as useful for PVE. All that aside, it is an optional mod. If you like you can use, if not that is perfectly fine too :)

Forests have functionality outside of just being a sector buff and the op covers every single available hex in forest. World gen forests very rarely, if ever, cover every single hex in a sector.
Forest is potentially useful to slow down an army or you can use it to take advantage of skills like forest camouflage, expedited movement (forest) or forest affinity

Yeah but this is intended as what I see as a bug fix. I'm not intending to change balance with this mod. Those types of mods will come later when I've had more time to experience the game and a better understanding of what all combos are capable of.

that Dvar op. it is specifically made to make uninhabitable mountains habitable and if you use it on habitable mountains they will become fertile plains.

The Dvar one can already not target uninhabitable mountains according to a few people I asked. I'll personally look into it though

I could potentially do something like that. I just need logical suggestions and to locate where the tech tree is in the editor so I can fiddle with it. Currently trying to make a mod that removes colonizer from the tech tree and you start being able to make them. They will still cost, and the two buildings from that tech will still be in the tech tree, but it will open up the first tech choice a bit.

Yeah, those both exist but if I make them unable to target fungal and volcanic respectively they lose some of their functionality as well. The amazon terraform ops literally only change the terrain/clime type. Because the other two have additional functionality I don't care to touch them, because that would neuter the abilities to an extent.

There is a xenoplague one that damages a city and if it fails to damage said city, it makes a swamp-mushroom-thing forest.

Promethians also have a nuke-thing that does the same but for volcanic.

Isn't there a Promethian one that makes volcanic?
