Fun and original. I got the time stop part on my first try, died, and then did it last -- and this time it took ten tries.

Overall I agree with your suggestions though, thanks for the great feedback!

The big health pon at the beginning was originally supposed to heal you to full as you entered the temple to forgive any errors at the first part and to make the temple a little more fair, so what I might do is replace it with two seperate normal health pons, and then have three on the zipline to achieve what the big one did, to sort of balance it out. Regarding the dweller platform, once I'm back home in a few hours I'll mess around with it and try get it to reset as soon as you respawn so you won't have to wait around, as I would also be happier with it working the way you suggested.

This is excellent. I will say there's a bit of a difficulty spike at the dweller's mask, since it's the one most likely to kill you. A couple of suggestions:
First, if I'm understanding right, and the big version of the heart pon fills all your health, please don't put that one where we respawn after we fall, since we'll fall, lose one hit point, and then spawn on top of the big heart and waste it.
Also, it would be great if the purple platform you ride through the dweller fields would pause for a while after it returns to you, or even better if there was a button that reset it. Missing your jump because you didn't time it properly is especially annoying when you didn't have to do that the first time because it was stationary.
Still, great level. I was honestly surprised there wasn't a rift token hidden on top of the big arena since you hid another one the same way.

@IronMagician8 and @T3hScoT, your suggestions have now been implemented.
mr gaming  [author] 21 Aug, 2019 @ 12:17pm
Good idea, I'll do that when i get back to my pc.

Great level though I suggest adding pons in the level. The lack of pons makes pathfinding a bit difficult on certain parts.

Heh, that flamethrower segment's given me it's fair share of problems, the anti-cheats are a result of a 2 day period where I let a friend go ham and find as many skips as he could (surprise; time stop and ice were the main offenders) and then the good old sprint skips kindly found by @QuaternionMark, basically what I've noticed here by typing this is that the segments I mostly tried to make totally secure may have lost refinement in the process, I'd love to fine tweak them right now and get it just right but i'm unfortunately not home till Thursday although when I do, I will certainly go over any reccomendations from people and try make the map as good as it can be :).

It was a unique challenge and fun.

A very interesting concept but it does come with one question. Why so many "anti-cheat" zones? I understand you want the player to finish the trials fairly but I noticed a major flaw with the ice route where I tried to get past one of the fire jets and accidentally jumped up too high and entered one of the zones.

Another issue is the difficulty. The sprint hat section leaves almost NO room for errors (Death Wish anyone?), the Timestop Hat route is rather wonky just due to how fast everything moves and as for the Dweller and brewer's hat routes? Dweller was tricky but I liked it. The brewers hat route was the only easy one.

An okay set of trials but I definitely think some refinement is needed.

6/10

Amazing... Y'know what, at this point if you can do it without sprint hat, you deserve the skip; congratulations!

So uh... I did it again: https://youtu.be/UnazBJ5h6MM

Ok I'm pretty sure that i fixed the problem with the third mountain now, thanks for the kind remarks!
Pokeleerf5 14 Aug, 2019 @ 10:50pm
@kochaw If your graphics are set to standard quality or lower the 3rd mountain dose not render. Do note the rift token can be seen. The hit box is still there but the mountain is invisible. After I got past that the rest of the map worked at lower settings. I also really enjoyed the map and how every hat was properly utilized in their respective sections. Hope you keep up the good work.

Major props on once again managing skipping the sprint, i'll hopefully fix it for real this time, your help will certainly be remembered :)

Skipping the Sprint Hat challenge has been done yet again: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qncr7oGUhKk

Took forever to pull off though.

One thing I noticed when re-watching my failed attempts was that there were a lot of runs where I did hit the button before time was up (it got pressed down), but it still didn't register. Must be some weird discrepancy between game's logic saying the button was pressed and the visuals.
mr gaming  [author] 14 Aug, 2019 @ 6:00am
Thanks for the kind words people! I'll definetely look into the sprint skip as well, hopefully that's the last of em'

loved the design of the temple

The sprint hat challenge can actually (though barely) be beaten without the sprint hat at all.

Beyond that great level.

@Asra: Challenge Accepted.
mr gaming  [author] 13 Aug, 2019 @ 8:05am
i mean, they are *hat* trials after all - i guess you could change the config on playable mu for this one if you wanted to, but i will admit different playable mods didn't even enter my mind as i made this so i guess it was bound to happen - oops?
