If anyone is interested in doing it, you just need to update the file VanguardTextures.clb in the Libraries mod folder - open it in Content Editor and save it again so it updates file version.
Then the model will be displayed just fine in game.

Could you instead have her unlocked as a Support Unit? Or if Elite, could her stats be improved, and possibly a slight name change to reflect her superiority to the Valkyries that can be called in?
Perhaps, "Archangel", or "Valkyrie Commando". I would also suggest you only use one model instead of three, to distinguish them as elite and rare.

Same thing could be argued with "Shocktrooper", but I think it does have its own seat with its shockgun and assault ability.

Until then, since you did make buildable APCs, can you also make Buildable Imperial Behemoths? I would love some kinetic based tanks.
Right now it's still early in development. If you have any suggestions feel free to post them and I'll check them out; I've already gotten some great feedback.
Some of the units, like the Soldier and FAV, are intended to be a variant of another existing unit... cuz I like variety. Other units, like the Heavy Trooper and Cyborg are changing.

Artillery would be awesome but the problem I am running into right now with new non-infantry units is the lack of models, there aren't a lot of them and we haven't quit figured out how to import a model successfully where it properly works. The goal now is to get more units in as reskins but that is only going to do so much.

You could have your friend go into his STEAM workshop mods directory and delete it there. STEAM can be kinda stupid with updates sometime, especially right when you want to play multiplayer.

1. I'll look into the machinegunners (and everyone else) abilities soon. I love having ideas for balancing them vs. other units.
2. So, the APC isn't at it's full potential right now. Soon it'll be able to spawn the Mobile Infantry unit that is currently unlocked for testing. That'll make it much more powerful as it's intended purpose is to transport mechanized infantry units; I don't want it to function like a command vehicle.
1. it would be nice if the machinegunner got the same perk as the Dvar Bulwark allowing three overwatch actions no matter how far it moves. Maybe basic, but certainly on Prime. It's not OP IMO because it doesn't have the concussing shot that the Bulwark has which is a very useful talent.
2. The APC is a bit too like the spacer truck. The real value in the hero support vehicle is the repair drone which you haven't replicated. It would be really valuable to have that, at least at Prime.

So, right now a bunch of units are available that shouldn't be. For example, the Militia and Mobile Infantry wont be buildable as they'll be linked to buildings or units (ie. APC and Dropship). The Police and Scientists are going to be linked to buildings as well, once I figure out how. The Scientists is probably going to be a unit you get from a science building and I plan to make a Police building that enables the Police unit and gives a small bonus to happiness.
Everything is buildable right now because this is all a big WIP experiment to see what works, what doesn't, and balancing.

I could try and do a unit like that once I start doing more ability modding.
And I'm not entirely sure what is causing the issue with the machinegunner, I was hoping today's update would have fixed him.
