Can't seem to get this mod to work... the planetary decisions for it just don't show up, even with purges fully allowed. Not sure if it's a conflict with another mod, an issue with load order, or just something I'm missing... any advice?

@Slade, is it possible to slowly purge occupied planets like the contingency does? i am playing determined exterminators so this would be pretty epic

@Everyone who is having problems running/updating the mod:
If you have issues it is not because of the mod it is because of the new Stellaris game launcher that not properly detects when a mod is updated. I hope Paradox will fix this soon ...

To fix this do the following steps:
1. Make sure your Stellaris game launcher is closed
2. Delete mod files from "\steamapps\workshop\content\281990"
3. Delete mod files from "\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Stellaris\mod"
4. Delete file "mods_registry.json" from "\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Stellaris".
5. Unsubscribe/Resubscripe mod in steam.
6. Start Stellaris game launcher, enable mods (no issues should appear in game launcher)
7. Start the game, play the mods & have fun :)

The mod checks for is_regular_empire = yes. A machine empire is not a "regular" one so the mod isn't enabled. I changed the two places that is used to be:
OR = {
is_regular_empire = yes
is_machine_empire = yes
}

In the common/decisions/something.txt file.

Just running it now to see that it works. Yes, some dialog pops up after a while and then the planet is empty.

I had problems with some other mod after it updated and 2.6. I ended up removing all mods, deleting some cache files, removing mods_registry.json. Was a mess. I don't think it was necessarily the mod authors fault. I think it may have been some format change, that some mod used to be a zipfile but no longer was - yet stellaris in the registry was pointing to the zip. I don't recall the exact error though.

For me this mod downloaded without issue.

@TheBigE go to your user files look for the PD save location inside find mods folder and delete file 1837718399 then it should work

Fully reinstalled the launcher and Stellaris, but the launcher is telling me this mod has no descriptor file and cannot be loaded. I see there is one in the zip file but I don't understand why its preventing me from loading it.

@ anyone getting the "something looks wrong with the downloaded files" message in the launcher, I came up with a workaround that got this mod and others like it with the same issue to work for me, I can't guarantee it will work for you as well, but I put the steps in the guide below, hope its useful.

getting a "something doesnt look right" error that doesnt allow me to enable it and remains after redownloading it. error message says to tell you but doesnt say anything about what might be wrong.

Just some recommendation: Can you make it so that the purged planet gets very high emigration push? Usually I use purge on low habitability planet full of xenos I do not like, it's quite ridiculous that these planets sucking up all my population growth through immigration when it's getting exterminated.

But yeah, that would be a sensible thing to do; I think that fanatical xenophobe AI should be able to use the planetary purge on planets that are over 75% overrun with the fowl xeno scum.

To answer your questions:

- Does AI use this mod?
No, AI does not use planetary purges atm.
It could be implemented but I think it is hard to find conditions where it would make sense.
I don't want AI wo start weakening itself by purging countless planets :P
For example I could make AI purge planets when they have many planets and they are fanatic xenophobic and a planet have > 75% xeno pops ...

-I'm not seeing why you wanna do that when you can set unwanted rights.
It expands the already existing purge game mechanics.
With this mod you can purge an entire planet independently of the species rights.
Also you can abandon planet colonies this way.

-Is it ethic locked?
It is locked to the vanilla game restrictions for purging.
In fact you need to set the corresponding empire policies that allow purging to be able to use the planetary purges.
So it is kind of ethic locked because as far as I know xenophiles are not able to allow purging in their policies.
