yea if anyone updates this mod. They need to make dirt have no value. As it adds the entire map to your wealth. Of floor tiles of dirt.
NECEROS  [author] 12 Dec, 2022 @ 11:42pm
Sorry. I won't be updating my mods anymore. At least for now. Anyone is welcome to reupload. :pureloveheart:
Moose 12 Dec, 2022 @ 10:22pm
works in 1.4 apparently
Orangutanz 11 Nov, 2022 @ 8:49am
This mod works in 1.4.
It adds the soil of whole map to colony wealth. Otherwise a good mod.
ImTotallyNormal 8 Nov, 2022 @ 3:12am
Seems to be working fine on 1.4 from my experience. Place it above any other soil mods in the mod load order to ensure it doesn't get overidden.
DTD_Hiro 22 Oct, 2022 @ 8:23pm
any word on a 1.4 update? One of my favorite mods here.
Hu Flung Dung 13 Nov, 2021 @ 9:57am
Shame these mods add wealth to colony value. Each soil tile counts as part of a building :(
The Gaming Archaeologist 23 Aug, 2021 @ 11:07am
now THIS is a mod people need! Especially with fungi and such being a viable diet.
CompMakarov 11 Aug, 2021 @ 12:21pm
has the wealth increasing been patched?
CrazyFreak 10 Aug, 2021 @ 6:36am
With NECEROS breaking from modding, do we have any unofficial patches or alternatives in the works? Would be greatly appreciated.
why are we here? just to suffer? 9 Aug, 2021 @ 11:21am
1.3!!
mtg 6 Aug, 2021 @ 4:42pm
Hi, i really like the mod. i hope the author updates it to 1.3 soon, Thanks
NECEROS  [author] 30 Jul, 2021 @ 2:50pm
Oh interesting. I did not know about this.
Raif Redacted 29 Jul, 2021 @ 6:04pm
from a different group of comments, it seems mods like this (which don't add a floor type or something like that to enable) end up adding value because it considers your entire starting map as some value of something you own.
NECEROS  [author] 27 Jul, 2021 @ 12:55pm
It's not this... soil has no cost. It's just a patch file altering the default soil tile
Haraise no Tenshi 27 Jul, 2021 @ 10:40am
Well Apparently it does.. why else would Colony Wealth suddenly increase when you install this mod into an otherwise 100% vanilla install with no other mods what so ever.
NECEROS  [author] 26 Jun, 2021 @ 2:50pm
No, soil has no cost
took took 26 Jun, 2021 @ 2:04pm
I am assuming this mod counts all soil from the map to your wealth
Owlchemist 9 Feb, 2021 @ 6:53pm
+1 confirmation. Wealth went from 173K to 212K after installing. Hope whatever is doing that can be patched out because it seems perfect otherwise.

Can confirm, this completely fucks your colony's wealth. I have next to 0 new mods, installed this on a middling tribal save, and instantly spiked my wealth so high I went from 7 tribals with knives for a raid to 6 dudes with armor, high-tier weapons, and drop pods.
BUTTPLUG 7 Nov, 2020 @ 9:30am
same problem with wealth as below
Captain Butthurt 17 Oct, 2020 @ 2:01pm
As of today, this mod singlehandedly bumps up your starting colony wealth up to 25-60k in (buildings) category as it still makes the game consider every single tile of soil a building, worth something.
It might be a mod interaction, but I get no red errors while running over 100 mods, and it is much easier to disable this one than to go on a wild goosechase trying to figure it out.
RavenousEye 14 Sep, 2020 @ 9:07am
is there a way to also make this work on as example sand/soft sand?
that would make my life complete
NECEROS  [author] 17 Jul, 2020 @ 6:03pm
Make sure you update your mod. It's 100% not this mod.
Lowjack 17 Jul, 2020 @ 3:07pm
@Neceros It is definitely coming from this mod, or at least it's being triggered by such. Underground Soil on = massive wealth spike. Underground Soil off: no wealth spike.
ohmegalomaniac 25 May, 2020 @ 12:05am
Great mod, thanks. Would you ever make a mod that allows soil over sand?
SoakieCat 4 Apr, 2020 @ 8:03pm
Do you have the Boats mod? They change the value of shallow water to 1 steel
SoakieCat 4 Apr, 2020 @ 8:03pm
Yeah no, it ain't from this mod @Hawk, I made sure to check that shit XD
NECEROS  [author] 4 Apr, 2020 @ 11:36am
Not from this mod. Make sure you've updated and there's no other conflicts with mods that alter soil.
LemonSqueezed 4 Apr, 2020 @ 5:27am
Hey, uh, the terrain value issue is still present, in case you weren't aware of that. Great work on the mod, love using it otherwise.
SoakieCat 27 Mar, 2020 @ 12:34pm
Aight coo, coo
NECEROS  [author] 27 Mar, 2020 @ 12:14pm
@Festering Because Tynan made a booboo in the 1.1 update and terrain without a cost wouldn't show up to be built, and would mess up ancient dangers from spawning.

It's been fixed.
SoakieCat 27 Mar, 2020 @ 2:28am
Just sayin there has been a fertile soil mod for ages that costed nothing to build, why did this cost 1 steel? there's also another mod for boats where u can build water and that costs 1 steel, but I've also seen other mods that let u build all different kinds of lands including water and dirt that didn't cost anything, so why does the game have an issue with ur mod when u want it to build steel without a cost?
NECEROS  [author] 26 Mar, 2020 @ 9:15pm
lol I hadn't noticed that, but since tynan included the fix for this I can remove that cost. Sorry. :)
SoakieCat 26 Mar, 2020 @ 8:06pm
Hey, this mod increases the value of FUCKING DIRT, making it so when you start a new fresh world of 250x250 cells uhm, usually the value of ur map is instantly about 90k - 120k making expectations instantly moderate, making raids instantly harder, this mod is literally just a massive difficulty up, starting a new map where everyone thinks they're rich as fuck, I removed the mod made the exact same map exact same colonists exact same everything but without this mod and the maps value dropped from 105k (in buildings) to 4.4k (in buildings)
NECEROS  [author] 14 Mar, 2020 @ 12:18pm
Don't smooth the stone. It works on UNSMOOTH (rough-hewn) stone only.
Whiskey Rivers 14 Mar, 2020 @ 9:17am
So, how is this supposed to be underground soil if you can't use it underground? I made a mini mountain fort, tried to make a growable spot for crops since I have this mod, but it doesn't work. Am I missing something? I even smoothed out the stone (it wouldn't work on the un-smoothed stone either).
NECEROS  [author] 12 Mar, 2020 @ 5:19pm
Tynan released an update.
LadyIshca TTV 12 Mar, 2020 @ 2:57pm
Uh, I will figure out how to do that. I know it was this mod. Process of elimination. I only run five mods and this is the one that I stopped first and it instantly worked again.
NECEROS  [author] 10 Mar, 2020 @ 2:38pm
Yep. So it's also stopping some sort of quest? Goodness. Do you have any other mods that could be causing it?

I'd like a log, too please.
LadyIshca TTV 10 Mar, 2020 @ 2:35pm
I think I had the most recent version? I had to pay 1 steel each for soil.
NECEROS  [author] 10 Mar, 2020 @ 2:05pm
@Ishca make sure you have the most recent version. There's n update on the test branch that is fixing this issue, but it's not ready yet. Until then I forced a cost on building tiles to fix it.
LadyIshca TTV 10 Mar, 2020 @ 9:21am
Hey hey. Just an FYI that the mod seems to be breaking the monument quest. I couldn't place down the monument until I removed the mod. It has been great otherwise.
NECEROS  [author] 8 Mar, 2020 @ 9:36pm
Fixed it. No longer breaks ancient dangers.
NECEROS  [author] 8 Mar, 2020 @ 3:57pm
... this one is doing it too? what the heck.
DeathHopper 8 Mar, 2020 @ 6:56am
Is there a fix for this mod making all ancient dangers empty?
NECEROS  [author] 19 Feb, 2020 @ 11:09am
Just rough stone. Mostly a limitation of rimworld. I'd have to make a whole new category to include both types of surfaces, and I don't have that ability yet.
Xane Tempest 19 Feb, 2020 @ 6:51am
Can this only be placed on rough stone, or can it be placed on smoothed stone as well?
NECEROS  [author] 12 Nov, 2019 @ 4:04pm
This changes soil to be placeable. Nothing is being added at all. You're placing normal ol rimworld soil. :)
