Several of the TF2 shotguns are based off of the Ithaca 37, though with a lateral ejection port to make them visually more interesting from a first-person perspective and to make it easier for people unfamiliar with the 37 to see shell ejection happen.

Sawed-off. Technically grammatically incorrect, it's supposed to be Sawn-off, but nobody cares.

Carbonated Beverage The real life shotgun this is modelled from is the Ithaca M37 shotgun, which both feeds and ejects from the same port on the bottom of the gun
