for some reason this doesn't work when I play as coach in a campaign or something. it works just fine for the other characters though.

In that case, I'm subscribing. Thank you. The reason I ask is because I was trying your Octavia pistols with an animation mod, but I wasn't getting the results I hoped for. Maybe that was just me.
