We will always remember the heroes that made the exercise mods for earlier builds <3
You don't need this mod anymore if you're playing on build 41 beta branch. But if you're playing b40 for multiplayer and want to adjust the value, search ExerciseV2 on your computer and edit the .lua file on notepad. You will find the formula and the values there, so just change them to your liking. If you need any help just let me know.
?
I think maybe a way to remember the mod is by changing it to some kind of "relaxing" mod. You can get some sort of "stiffness" effect if your exercise is too irregular. So instead of it being an exercise mod perhaps make it into a mod where you stretch out your muscles or do something where you would spend time relaxing yourself.
It can be added to an existing save file.
@Space Pirate Kobold
Read the mod description.
You should put in a punishment mechanic to where if you exercise while exhausted you start to injure yourself that increases in severity the more you do it
Otherwise there is literally nothing stopping you from just doing pushups nonstop for a week straight, stopping only to stuff your face with cabbages
My experience from testing so far: I needed to start a new savegame to get the option to exercise. It works well with passive skill fix.
I will test it myself but has anyone any experience whether this mod is compatible with the passive skill fix mod? Both tinker around with the same stats so I am a bit worried :D
Despite you not knowing how to criticize something without being ignorant, if you want to change the XP, search ExerciseV2 on your computer and edit the .lua file on notepad. Search for the lines "local strengthXP = ((strength + ((realStrength*5)/5))* (60+(realStrength*4)));" and "local fitnessXP = ((fitness + ((realFitness*5)/5))* (60+(realFitness*4)));" and ajust the the formula to your liking
Thanks!
@Mojo
I agree with you, the mod is simple and your ideas are great but making something more complex than this is beyond my skills, so if you or anyone wants to make a V3 I'll be very glad!
you can just go to the wild with a trovel and live off of worms while working out withj this mod and max out ur fitnes and strenght in 22 days( at least it took me taht long) from zero.
you dont need to rest nor sleep, you just need to eat when ur health bar hits very low, developer may balance this shit out with correcting this bullshit. but for now its op as fuck. me dislike
I like it a lot. Ten outta ten.
BUT
If i like that we gain weight by doing exercice, so we lose some when we are starving. I'm thinking of computing the muscle mass and fat mass differently, simply by setting a default muscle mass and adjusting it from the beginning according of the underweight or very underweight trait. By doing that the weight ranges should be re-evaluated continuously during the game, because even if you don't have 1 kg of fat, a level 10 strength weighs at least 80 kg else he is underweight and should lose his fat then muscle over time :)
1) I really appreciate a system that allows us to work at weight gain/loss. This mod is super grand for that.
2) At the moment you can work out while sitting down, which allows for some fairly absurd cheese of the fatigue system.
3) The gains to, at least, fitness are pretty intense. In the time it took me to go from "overweight" to normal weight, about 20 days in game with additional movement/gameplay I went from 6 to 9 fitness. I may have lost perspective as I don't think I've ever gained a single point of fitness in normal gameplay but that seems like a fairly intense gain. As I was looking into the weight loss system I didn't experiment with pushups and strength gain.
Yes, works on IWBUMS b41
