Why is it so big compared to the original?

Thanks for the asset! I have an issue - Im using it for stairs and escalators, first plopping normal ped path and than upgrading to this one. However sometimes after the upgrade peds decide that they wont use the upgraded path (or the use gets extremely limited). Before on the standard path its full of people, after upgrade 0 or very few. Anyone has similar issue? Any hints on how to solve or debug this? THX
