In Ace there is that option, at the bottom left of the roster screen. Usually problems with saving on that is related to system security, like the game installed on a different folder or antivirus being suspicious of it. Try to add the game folder to some kind of accept list on antivirus, or running the game with admin rights.
That new version of their amberstone mod seems like it has no errors though, so it is fine either way.
(If it has problems, you can report to the author, and if he is not around anymore, report here and i can take a look)
or is it needed instead of Amberstone and Orc Job Expansion?

In there there is a modding channel with a issues section. Other people can jump in and help too.
If you can, join the ace discord and in there you send me the log error and if possible your save file too. Just browsing the code now and so far nothing is popping as wrong to me, so a save file would help a lot.
(it is something related to the job list, that pacifist trait removes combat jobs from the guy with that trait, the error is somewhere on that process)
btw.

I got it to work again. I just can't click off the game while the game loads up from Steam. Every time I click off the game and go to desktop or the game loads up in its own window but I am still on desktop it crashes.
Better Storage (BS) has redundant filters already covered by ACE. Some would not work because they do not match items tags, or they have duplicates that bug the UI (you select one filter and multiple others end up activated with it, and then it gets stuck active)
That mod was made when we didn't had input storages. Once those were added to the game, BS became obsolete, players could have their detailed filters, and even better as input storages have higher priority.
Some filters even harm the player town without they knowing. For example, the spoiled food category. Spoiled food in vanilla disappear on its own, is not counted into the game item limit and do not use storage space even when already inside a storage. But with BS, they are counted as item, they do waste space in storage and they make make everyone waste time hauling it form place to place, instead of using their time doing something else useful.
Long story short, BS is an outdated mod and not recommended.

I'm confused
and thanks for your work this mod is very helpfulll!
If you can, give another try. Findersword just made a small fix for these issues you reported.
Amberstone and Orc Job Expansion
Better Storage
MBS Training
MBS works quite fine, thanks to your mod.
Better Storage seems to work fine too, but its hard to say because ACE added to much filters
Amberstone and Orc Job Expansion seems not to be anfected by your mod as it crashes the game if an Amberstone picks the Leatherhelmet and throws an Error if an Amberstone tries to weave.
Is there anything I can do to fix that? I tried to reinstall your mod and restarted the game several times, activating one mod after another, but nothing helped.
All after all this mod is a real good job, so realy thank you.
The "Kai Monkey's Trait" for Divine Soul gives a starting weapon that will not have healing if using ACE mod, because of the changes ACE made to default Cleric books. Once they equip a upgraded Healing Tome crafted by Herbalist, they will be able to cast heal spells.
- "Kai Monkey's Traits" seems to have now a higher proportion of new hearthlings getting its traits. It's a bit annoying having 1/3 of your population being a barbarian or a divine soul xD. Also, the "Divine Soul" priest seems to priorize attacking over healing now, and whenever he does, it's for a very low amount of HP.
The original maker dropped it, and us Roman lovers without the knowledge to code are dying of sadness :(
Thank you.
I can do a fix for it though, I just need to find some time for it
