go to steamapps\workshop\content\329130\1847014328 if you want to change the number of factions you want to omit to 9 or what ever

for people wanting to have one that increases the number past 6, you can do it yourself. go to this mod in the in-game mod menu, click browse files on the right, it will take you to the mod file (should just be a string of numbers). open the file, inside open "cvars" in a text editor, and change the number from six to whatever you want, and save and close it. reload the game and it should work.

what is the cvar you modified? i want to create a personal mod which sets this to 99.

i can still make x10 omit by modifying the files but only nonsteam version (idk if steam version works)

Finally. There are so many factions that just crash my game or are just absurdly difficult to defeat. The Scralvage are effectively immortal and their corpses always kill me, the Kriegsmarine have absurdly powerful armor, the hive renders entire saves worthless, factonium takes up the entire center of the map, and so many others just suck.

Faction Omit increases the number of factions you can disable when generating a new map.
