Sorry, no, both change Naval Research, this mod adds more carrier hulls, RT56 extends research into more years.

That category disappeard with the update. Same both in my current save and in any new save.
It requires "Man the Guns" and uses the Ship Designer.
You still have to research carrier hulls.
You still have to design your carriers in the designer.
You still have to research carrier planes.
You still have to build carriers in dockyards.
You still need to build all the carrier planes.
The AI will build any or all of these carriers the same way the AI for that country build ships now.
Didn't think this all needed to be spelled out, but some people did not understand how things work.
I tried this mod and MTG Expanded (the latest version, I think) and the two have some conflicts.
There is a mod out that combines them called "MTG Expanded: Baby Flat Tops and The White Lion's Modules"

If a mod changes anything Naval, probably not, but the only way to know for sure if file compares or trying it in a game.
I tested with SOV and it works fine, never tried CHI.
The mod does nothing at all with subs.
Could be something changed in a file I do change that also contains that dds file.
I will look into it.
