Have a look at Closer/Further Render Distance

Make this for TPF2

@Multiplio Sure, no problem. Just keep in mind that to small values may lead to strange random errors....
Multiplio 3 Nov, 2019 @ 3:06pm
Hi, would you mind if I uploaded a mod which only edits the minimum view? Just thought I'd ask since it's your mod which made me figure out how to edit it. If you'd rather not, no worries.

Thanks :-)

Hashing out any lines containing viewNearFar[2] in the mod.lua worked for me

Is there an option to turn off this filter?
Lord Raccoon 13 Sep, 2019 @ 10:54am
so on high settings it has blue filter and fog? Seems not nice compatible with NEP

This mod only changes some game settings. Impact might be mainly on GPU but could also improve performance (setting medium or low) on weak CPU systems as TPF consumes much CPU.
Lord Raccoon 13 Sep, 2019 @ 10:04am
i mean these changes will impact on which part of my pc? Because i have nice gpu, but weak RAM and CPU
Lord Raccoon 13 Sep, 2019 @ 10:02am
what does this mod load? Videocard, RAM or cpu?
Freddiest 9 Sep, 2019 @ 11:19am
Yeah I do, thanks for the help.
Multiplio 9 Sep, 2019 @ 12:20am
@TheFreddiest Boi
Have you got the natural environment professional mod installed? If so, the maximum visibility messes things up a bit - the minimum render distance still works though
VacuumTube  [author] 8 Sep, 2019 @ 2:20pm
I opened a thread where you can post screenshots so I can see what's going on
Freddiest 8 Sep, 2019 @ 10:23am
And when on low its even worse
Freddiest 8 Sep, 2019 @ 10:23am
Only when it's on high
Freddiest 8 Sep, 2019 @ 10:21am
So I think this mod kinda made my game acting weird, it makes the map look kinda whitish. The only thing I can compare it to is like really really low render distance in minecraft.
Nickdabor 6 Sep, 2019 @ 9:03am
Wenn ich diese Mod aktiviere, sehe ich ein schattiges Raster, vermutlich an den Grenzen der Quadrate aus denen die Map zusammengesetzt ist.

I have found out, that in fact only this value, the minimum render distance, is fixed in the vehicle-camera. All other parameters have an influence also in the vehicle-camera.
Multiplio 5 Sep, 2019 @ 2:43am
Ok thanks for letting me know!
VacuumTube  [author] 4 Sep, 2019 @ 2:41pm
As you have realised (and I have before), the game uses different graphic settings in the vehicle-camera. I haven't found any other variables where you could edit these settings.
Multiplio 3 Sep, 2019 @ 9:15am
Is it possible to edit the minimum rendering distance for the on-vehicle camera? When editing custom camera positions, the camera seems to use different settings to the normal game camera.

Don't worry if not, just thought it was worth asking :-)
VacuumTube  [author] 2 Sep, 2019 @ 10:09am
Did you use other mods with it or tried it only with this mod?
Johno 1 Sep, 2019 @ 8:12am
just freezes and have to close it, I've removed it and not using anymore and runs fine again
VacuumTube  [author] 1 Sep, 2019 @ 7:48am
Can you describe what exactly happens? (lua error or something in stdout?)
Are you using other mods?
Johno 1 Sep, 2019 @ 7:42am
nothing but crashes.....
Multiplio 1 Sep, 2019 @ 3:23am
Wow! I can't believe my main problem with this game - things disappearing when they get close to the camera - has been solvable all along with one single value... thank you so much!
My maps look so much better now I can sit on the platforms without them disappearing!

For anyone who's having issues with using natural environment professional: just delete the viewNearFar[2] = 16000 line and that fixes it
