I have no issue with Realm Divide, twice winning on Legendary as the Chosokabe and Oda clans, and wanted to play Date, but discovered on the 97 province map, that it becomes almost unplayable when RD is triggered after the 12 or 13 annexation.
It works good, and as was stated in other posts, it draws the RDivide out a bit too far in FOTS when playing the quicker campaign. On the longer setting in the Boshin Era, this works out just fine as it gives you and your allies time to consolidate your position before locking you into the dual faction with you as champion of your cause.
This runs just fine for everything as long as you're smart enough to turn the mod off if you are playing a short FOTS campaign.
@Varangian Guard: let me think about it. I've been away for a week and a half.
even with two full armies i could barely move forward without losing territory once everyone was agianst me
