While they are reused sprites I could definitely see this as a way for people to be able to get the portal effects without paying a small fortune in trading, maybe change the colors though.

looks cool. as for the model in the picture, I can definitely see some of the Halloween items being all year round instead of just Full Moon only.

you might need to change the colors so it doesnt looks like some of the other halloween effects that are already in the game

they just seem like darkblaze, demonflame, hellfire but with a differently colored terror-watt in each, and the glow from roboactive and anti-freeze, not a new effect

Perhaps you should make the colors different or people might complain that they look to similar to other Halloween effects?
