This is great in concept, but it needs significantly better controller support.
mblmg 11 Sep, 2016 @ 3:35pm
Can confirm: this is as awesome as it looks. No crosshairs needed.
toby1248 16 Jun, 2016 @ 4:53am
this would be amazing in VR
Hallow 2 Feb, 2016 @ 1:43pm
It's made way too difficult by the lack of a crosshair (see below).
I would also love to see keyboard support.
sR -> Doc 6 Jul, 2015 @ 8:43pm
there should be a skin where youre flying in the sky in a small plane
CatsOnDrugs 25 Jan, 2015 @ 2:08pm
i have no idea what im doing, this plays with my brain so much...
Nixill 29 May, 2014 @ 12:46am
This mod could go so far. But it's missing something: Keyboard support. Pressing and holding an arrow key (or wasd) should hold you one grid tile in that direction away from the center, as in the Mono modes.

goemetric space is one of the most solid mods yet, hits are most precise on that version

also it's one of the most relaxing mods out, great work
Deadman 2 Nov, 2013 @ 6:17pm
Oh really? ok, I didn't know but do you think it's fine for the pitch to go so high that it's inaudible? I like to know that I hit a block successfully and the hit sound helps me with that. Also, I am getting a "failed skyscraper_withbase.obj error at the top left corner.
Mr. Pink  [author] 2 Nov, 2013 @ 5:52pm
@Deadman: It doesn't go away, the pitch becomes higher if you hit a sequence of blocks. After 40 blocks or so it is so high that it's not really audible.
Nabs 2 Nov, 2013 @ 5:37pm
This is a really awesome idea. Thanks!
Deadman 2 Nov, 2013 @ 5:20pm
A bug I've noticed with this is sometimes the hit sound effect goes away randomly goes and comes back during play. Anyone else experienced this?
lvl 13 Mage L(° O °L) 2 Nov, 2013 @ 1:36pm
Thats an awesome mode and i enjoy it. Neets a bit Tweaking because it looks like the bricks wont always get Hit.
Ray of Light 2 Nov, 2013 @ 2:18am
That was awesome. Thanks for this mode.
Deadman 30 Oct, 2013 @ 4:45pm
Pretty damn amazing what you've done here. I think it could be improved but this has a lot of potential!
GiovanH 28 Oct, 2013 @ 8:12am
Probably the most creative gamemode for audiosurf to date. Thumbs up.
EhneVmoN 25 Oct, 2013 @ 10:01am
awesome
:spycon:
Kiisseli 25 Oct, 2013 @ 5:50am
This, this is glorious! Needs some greys though... greys are awesome.
spice 22 Oct, 2013 @ 4:55pm
I love it, one quick suggestion is that you either warn players that it does not support controllers, or that you disable controller inputs. I tried using my controller with it and it fucked it up really badly- made some of the blocks impossible to hit.
Yogarpg 21 Oct, 2013 @ 7:19pm
This is the best mod ever made so far, not disparaging others, but this is AWESOME.
агент габена 20 Oct, 2013 @ 5:18am
awesome, but i have a little dizziness...
Thorinori 20 Oct, 2013 @ 3:16am
This is so awsome! So hard without seeing the grid xD
Ekkert 19 Oct, 2013 @ 9:57pm
Oh man, this is one of the coolest Audiosurf 2 mods I've seen yet. Audiosurf with movement on two axes is something that I, and I'm sure plenty of other people, have thought would be cool, so I'm super glad that it's something that's actually possible within Audiosurf 2! Gives me high hopes for the future of this game, when modders come up with even more crazy ideas. :p

I also love the new skins in the update, they feel like a big improvement over the original one, especially with the different colours for the top and bottom rows, as Spino Prime said. Really helps with depth perception and whatnot. :)

Also, this is probably kind of redundant seeing as how Bosky and Man have both uploaded videos of this mod in action already, but I put up a quick video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ADUgyxsBi8 and I hope it doesn't suck
Spino Prime 19 Oct, 2013 @ 7:22pm
Well, I just tried the mod with the update. I like that the sounds got added. It was a bit harder to tell if you hit or missed the block without it. I really like in the new skins how the bottom blocks are purple instead of blue, it helps prevent missed blocks due to depth perception fails or sudden shifts in track. I noticed that isn't how Space Flight behaved, it is still blue blocks for both top and bottom rows. The skin would really benifit from adding that adjustment in. Also could you potentially choose a slightly different purple for Geometry Space? The current one isn't as visable as I would want, and I have missed a couple purples just because I couldn't see them in time. Love the mod though.
Big Head 19 Oct, 2013 @ 1:40pm
well bosky beat me to it but i might as well post the link anyway https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wlA6ec4VO04&feature=youtu.be
Mr. Pink  [author] 19 Oct, 2013 @ 1:30pm
Mod updated again!
Big Head 18 Oct, 2013 @ 9:12pm
im gooing to make a youtube video on this mod tommorow, hopefully you can add it if its good enough
Spino Prime 18 Oct, 2013 @ 6:42pm
Wow, I enjoyed this a lot more than I thought I would, this mode is a lot of fun. The gamemode is a little tricky to get the hang of at first, but within a few minuites you can really get into it. By the end of my first song I was able to get some nice chains going. You did really good work with this game mod so far. Not sure if you could easily do this, as some prefer the gamemode without the sounds, but I just wish that the sounds when you hit blocks was added, I like getting the audio feedback that I hit it. Also it would be nice if you had some sort of visual indicator to better tell which lane you are in. Again though, I really enjoyed this mod, nice work.
b4k4 18 Oct, 2013 @ 12:59pm
I really like this, it was way more fun than I expected it to be at first glance. It'd be interesting to see someone do a take on this style where you have enemy ships you can try and shoot down, but I haven't tried the modding tools for this yet, and I'm not sure how to get something like that to work. Maybe something similar to wakeboard style where transitions in intensity spawns enemy ships that drop special blocks that give your ship ammo....
Sleepy Seven 18 Oct, 2013 @ 10:30am
De Jeugd van tegenwoordig! Nou, dat maakt het gewoon :p
The Entity 18 Oct, 2013 @ 10:18am
Awesome mod dude, loving it :D
Tip-Toe 17 Oct, 2013 @ 12:35pm
Very interesting mod, loving it. Took me awhile to get used to the way I had to move but once I did, very fun.
Big Head 17 Oct, 2013 @ 4:52am
you can change the skin by putting skins into the folder within the flight mod folder, that way you can get different skins, most likeley the only ones that work are the ones that have no bottom track though, so something like that space one that has a lot of downloads
Mr. Pink  [author] 17 Oct, 2013 @ 3:47am
Mod updated! See the description for details.
Mr. Pink  [author] 17 Oct, 2013 @ 3:47am
@Alex: I don't want to clutter up the display (I like the minimalism as it is right now). I also don't know how I would draw such a grid in the current modding API.
ValkyrieSkies 16 Oct, 2013 @ 2:59pm
As nice as it is, it's very disorientating and it's way too difficult to tell what lane you're actually in. Maybe a grid system could be implemented or something to that effect.
Asuterisuku 16 Oct, 2013 @ 9:03am
This is a very enjoyable mode, though it needs some work. Keep it up.
Mr. Pink  [author] 14 Oct, 2013 @ 6:43am
@almozaya: I think in the next version I'll make the collisions a bit less strict. I've noticed that as well.
thelarchmage 14 Oct, 2013 @ 5:46am
Fantastic job. This is a truly fantastic mod, and I see a ton of potential from similar setups.
GoldenOuji 14 Oct, 2013 @ 1:34am
Really nice !!
almozayaf 13 Oct, 2013 @ 6:14pm
not all the time , in same songs even when i hit the block it didn't count
Mr. Pink  [author] 13 Oct, 2013 @ 2:22pm
I offset the block height, I allow the car to be moved in two directions, I rewrote the collision script to account for the height offset.
In the skin I removed almost everything except the background and the rings.
Tada!
It worked really well, if I might say.
almozayaf 13 Oct, 2013 @ 8:07am
best mod i find so far, how you did that
guyjim 12 Oct, 2013 @ 8:48pm
Brilliant. Loving it!
