I really hope to have something like this again after finding it, I want to have lots of independent planets to meet to make things feel more like Star Trek

I will update and keep up to date this mod but it will only happen starting with 2.9 because most of the modifiers used to increase resources are broken right now. I hope Paradox will fix them for 2.9

No idea what happened to the 2.7 version, but this version has officially gone an entire year without being updated, so it's pretty safe to say that it's abandoned.

This mod is causing all kinds of errors in the error log and I strongly suspect it's causing crashes for me in 2.7.

@DrBLOOD Probably a good idea to do that, yeah. It's pretty clear that all of the author's Stellaris mods are abandoned and have been for a while.

Actually this mod needs a legitimate update. Due to the 2.6 changes to the section template code, this mod causes a couple thousand lines of errors in the error.log

It has been working for 2.5 even though it says 2.4, so go edit it yourself, if the red mark annoys you

@Spreadwheat Won't happen now with the latest Stellaris update. That was a known bug caused by 32-bit programming.

So because you can't be in a state of war on a planet state, I believe, is the reason they cannot be orbitally bombarded at all?

Ok so one work-around I found was to open the console and type "own" while selecting the stolen station, and this will give ownership back to the player. You then need to dismantle the station because the planet state will just take it over again at a later date.

I have the same problem as others. I built a starbase in their territory and after a while it became their system, and they closed the borders. Now I can't pass through and I can't declare war on them to remove the problem. Is there any way around this?

(Part 2/2) If I may be so presumptuous to make a suggestion, how would you feel about letting them trade consumer goods for food instead? That's a niche currently not covered by anything else in the game. A good exchange rate could be no lump sum on signing a deal, and 3 food for one consumer good (given that agri districts are more productive than energy districts). The background story could be that due to being a ecumenopolis, they are in dire need of food sources. Or else they just want to taste the specialties the rest of the galaxy has to offer.

(Part 1/2) Hey, I like the concept of this mod. Though I have to say it did feel a little underwhelming meeting the ecumenopolis planet state. To the unsuspecting consumer, 2 energy credits for 1 consumer good may feel like a good deal, but when signing a deal, you also have to pay a lump sum in credits. This means the actual exchange rate is more like 3 credits for one consumer good, making it worse than simply trading on the market. Furthermore, there's already the trade policy to exchange credits into consumer goods.

Even in a small galaxy I have no problems spawning them. No idea what could be happening to make them not spawn in your games.

I have a one thousand five hundred star Eliptical Galaxy. I used the "SURVEY" cheat code, the "CONTACT" cheat code, and then researched every leftover project. I couldn't find your enclaves.

Even stranger, I couldn't find the Artisan Troupe and friends either...

BTW, if you haven't done so, make sure you set it for them to Share Communications, otherwise they will never be met. This is such a common mistake that Paradox themselves did it with the Great Khan.

Hi! I've just encountered something that I'm not sure if it's a glitch or not.

So I encountered the ecumenopolis and built a starbase for them -- they were in my borders for maybe a year? Before they became their own little territory and closed off their borders to me. This annoyed me since they're now blocking me off from the rest of the galaxy -- however because they've closed their borders to me I can't even get my troops in to invade.

Any ideas?

Is it possible to add an event to automatically contact the planet states after a certain amount of time if you have contact with the empire that controls their system? If another empire takes the system you often won’t have the ability to enter or even figure out where they are as you science ships wont automatically go there.

They are virtually guaranteed to spawn, unless there's something interrupting the on_game_start event that spawns them.

I'm looking into a way to make the trade value generated by the Planet-States only available after you sign a commercial pact with them - and upping the minimum opinion necessary to do it to 100.

Do these planets spawn in every game? I haven't seen them yet, even when I enter the cheat codes for "SURVEY" and "CONTACT".
