Is there a version of this mod that just fixes the character models without completely rewriting the scale of the game? I love the model changes, but I'm just not a fan of the gameplay changes

Another Update: My apologies for the long silence. I cheated death, literally nearly died, six times last year alone. I recently underwent colon surgery and it was not good. My time continues to grow shorter by the day and I love this community. I'm truly sorry I have not looked at the code now for a handful of years, but my very next hospital stay could be my last. This looks absolutely amazing, and as someone just getting around to playing this title, this is the only mod in the rather long list of mods that I've seen thus far that seems worth DL'ing. I hope your recovery is going well/speedily, and thank you for all of your hard work! After I finish my vanilla campaign I am subscribing to this and going back at it for a fresh take on Calradia. Thanks again!

UPDATE: 11/02/2021 - As much as I love this game, I can no longer devote time to fixing the code on this mod. It's not about liking or disliking. In March of 2021 I suffered a stroke, then an infection that went septic and nearly killed me. Instead, it killed my kidneys and I'm now on dialysis three times a week, and it wears me out to the bone. So I must stop here and let this mod live as is. I will not remove it, but it will also no longer be updated or worked upon. Thank you everyone for giving this mod a try.

@Xarduvik I see that its all been planned out and after playing some more everything makes sense, the only thing that I would do if I could was have arena not pay out more than tourneys. Other than that its super balanced and am liking it

@Dr.Dustin-Cheaks - Yes, there is a way to change it, but it will take a major update. I didn't touch the tourney results and silver to keep the vanilla in vanilla, if you know what I mean. Your reputation though, should go up nicely. The betting trees have already been set up to pay out more. Where you make the serious silver is in businesses you start in the cities. Those payouts have been adjusted up quite a bit. In fact, I've gotten complaints that money is too easy to make in that manner, but I did it so folks can afford the higher tier flaming swords as they can be 100K+ in price from time to time.

Also is it possible to change the amount of silver you get from tourneys and arena? Appreciative if there is a way to change that.

@Dr.Dustin-Cheaks - No, not really. If folks knew the process of uploading changes to the Steam library for this game, I promise eyebrows would raise. If the DOS commands aren't exactly right, the entire folder could be corrupted. Goodness, I wish I were making that up. Good news is that once subscribed, the system doesn't do a check on the mod files every time you launch it. Get TweakMB and go through a small learning curve as it's not user friendly, and you can adjust those values far easier than I could here.

@meister - Thank you for noticing the nuances that changed with the incorporation of Diplomacy 4.3 into Vanilla Surprise. I would like them both better merged as well, as Diplomacy Surprise is just Vanilla Surprise but with Diplomacy 4.3. Older versions of Diplomacy didn't work, no matter how it was done or compiled. I spent months getting 4.3 working, and this is the only two playable versions. Vanilla Surprise was going to be the only mod I released, but many, and I mean many voices called for one with Diplomacy. I can't do as you request because I have already tried within large efforts. My sincere apologies.

@Hasagi! - As stated on the Description page, the flaming sword is an RNG (Random Generated) on weapon merchants all over the realm. You might find one right away, it could take a bit. In game time, the vendors refresh their stock once per game week. If no vendors in any city carries the weapon, note the date in game and when one week rolls by, go look again. Save up your coins. The higher end flaming swords are not cheap. I've seen them generated to be more than 100K gold for the top tier ones, and as low as 18K gold for the mid-range tiers. Good luck and have fun. ^_^

@Eren il Magnifico - Bandits are increased by the game engine as your character gets higher level... and if you used any kind of leveling up via a cheat, the bandits can be insanely numerous. I myself found out by skipping to max level in order to test a few things, and 3200 bandits made an appearance. If you level up naturally, that won't be so much a problem. I have not found a way to change that.

@lilnig - Only chance that might work is to right click the game in the library, choose Properties, and then chose the Local Files tab across the top. In that menu, you will be able to verify file integrity. If that fails, I don't know what to tell you. Files usually don't get corrupted 'just because' and you may have an issue in your system somewhere. From over zealous antivirus programs to slowly failing SSD or HDD sectors... it's hard to narrow down the why of it. I hope the option I mentioned works for you, as it's the only one I have.

My file got corrupted and lost everything how can i get it back cause i spend like 20 hours on this mod

@uncle Joseph - no new soldiers and no new armors, but there is 1 new weapon type. Flaming Bastard Sword. It's mostly Vanilla, but with a few surprises, including a much nicer female model. My newest mod, Diplomacy Surprise, does have a few new armors, new weapons and of course, the flaming blade. Either one should add some fun. :) Also, money is much easier to get... because believe me, you'll be spending quite a bit when between mid to end game.

is this mod add news types of soldiers or news weapons and armors?

@Garde_Officer - I know, right? If I got a nickel every time something funky like that happened with Steam and the games, I could probably pay off my house. I wish I recorded the look on my face the day I figured out that the system would pass out on you if you had too many mods in the list. Glad you figured it out. ^_^

Alright so apparently I just had to delete an old bear force file.. nvm then.

Fuck sake.. Whenever I try launching the game after subscribing it just goes from "running" to.. nothing. Whenever I unsubscribe it works again.. What?
