im not sure but i think these ones radiating heat in space seems to be trouble to update with current version since alot of mods of skyrunner were updated...we will see who knows

I updated this mod for DLC Compatibility, if the Skyrunner finds time to check the changes and decides to publish them, they will be able to be downloaded from Steam, for now they can be downloaded from Github: https://github.com/BaalEvan/sky-oni-mods/releases/tag/DLC_Compat
Installation: Unzip into: Documents/Klei/OxygenNotIncluded/mods/local then select in ModLoader

A gas version would be a nice addition, as it could be used to mimic heat pipes systems.

Just from a game design standpoint this seems like a good way to fill in this gap in the game's thermal dynamics. It doesn't just make space an easy heat sink, you have to work to set up a good radiator array that siphons off enough heat, and it takes resources

Update, I have figured out why it's not working. It apparently needs to be built high up enough... merely having full space exposure is not enough.

Suggestions on what I could be doing wrong?

The only thing behind the radiator is the liquid pipes carrying the coolant

Working great. Only issue I have is they get buried and I can't dig them out, which means I can't repair the pipes connected to them.

Is there a way to use this concept for gasses as well as liquids?

I cant seem to place this, it always says 'space occupied', it flashes white and then becomes red, if i fenagle it, i MIGHT be able to place it, pixel sensitivity tho

@Trip Heat becomes Infrared light and it is more efficient the hotter it is, this is also how FLIR heat cameras work.
They also use ammonia on the ISS as the refrigerant to the radiators since it's working temperature works pretty well between phase changes. I think that is one thing that this game is missing: Refrigerants and pressure-temperature dynamics.

It seems like this mod doesn't work with the newest update...

Those are great! You want to keep your DTU/s high, for maximum effect, so best way is to attach them to some aquatuners and you have the Ultimate cooling solution. Thank you for that super awesome addition, this makes Emptera a breeze xD Love the concept and btw, an RTG on that basis would be awesome! Would only work in space, too and output 20-100W or so, depending on how hot it gets or self heating with radioactive mats ;)

May just be on my end, but when i tried to install this mod from steam the radiator item did not appear in the utilities tab, even in sandbox mode. Manually installing from the Github repo worked perfectly however.

Would it be possible to have these able to rotate horizontally? With them being stuck vertically it's kind of limited in placement options.

Would it be possible to make some form of "water cooling block" similar to this? Passive heat transfer and whatnot but for the purpose of cooling buildings and equipment in vacuum so we don't have to dribble liquid into pools?
