Unfortunately this was made at a time when Brewster was new to mapping and I still hadn't nailed down lighting yet myself.

These days it'd probably be a lot prettier if we tried again, but the motivation to do so is long since shot due to Nintendo's crackdown last year.

If you could get actual lighting in here then this would be one of the most beautiful ports of all time.

Oh, and the area near that spot with six stars, the stepping area with pipes and the "wall" surrounding the six stars, seem to have collision issues. Like, I can go walk through them or I can't walk up over them like a stair (the white and blue "pipes" ones). Plus the NPCs awkwardly kinda clip through the red carpet floor near the library-looking building.

The music doesn't seem to play. Can you fix that please?

Fantastic map! I have a question about making these maps. How do you set up collisions with the ripped models from different video games? Do you set up collision meshes along with the map models or do you create the collisions in Hammer with Nodraws and such?

I'm trying to work on a map port right now but I've been stuck with the collisions part for days now.

That and I don't SFM anymore.

strangely when i downloaded the map to port it, it never gave me the skybox texture, it just gave me the map itself, everything else worked, but the skybox

You didn't put the skybox texture in your sfm folder

so for some reason, when i ported the map to sfm for personal use (hope you guys dont mind btw) but the skybox was completely missing textures

1:because mapping is hard
2:it's my first big map lmao

Why are the telepads one-way? Why can't they be two-way like in the original Mario Galaxy game? Also some of the platforms don't have collision.

Fair enough. Personally I enjoy maps that can be played universally with a variety of game modes but I will respect your choice to not edit the map

From me, both are a no. I won't be adding spawn points, and personally I don't want people reuploading this for gamemodes it was not designed for.

Hey, so this map is great and I was hoping to play this map with some of my friends in multiplayer. Specifically, I wanted to play murder, which is our favorite game mode. However, as far as I am aware there is only one spawn point on the map, and I was wondering if maybe you would put in a few more, just so that when playing Murder we don't all spawn inside of each other. If you won't want to, that's fine. However, if you don't want to change the map would you be ok with me opening this up in hammer to add the spawn points for myself and reuploading so that other people wouldn't have to go through the hassle of having to set up murder spawns?
