mod is invaluable to lwotc, you have to tweak some modnames to get it to appear, sometimes, look at the damage values in the .ini before basedamage and that is what you put
Could this apply limited ammo to pistols and sidearms?

Ive changed the dmg values in the files but in game dmg walues are the same. Anyone else having this or am i doing something wrong? Thanks

I may be just confused but how do i get the lmgs and snipers to upgrade to the magenetic tier i cant seem to figure it out

I absolutely love your mod.

However, I have to say that some of the SMGs under the primary weapons section seem to have AR stats, and the machine pistols in the pistols or secondary weapons slot don't share stats with the LWOTC autopistol but instead the regular pistol.

I may be wrong but if I remember correctly the stats for SMG's from Resistance Firearms used the same stats as AR's when using this mod

I know this is an old non-maintained mod, but I am using it with the Resistance Firearms Pack etc in LWOTC. When I open the .ini and change the SMG stats, the mod appears to be changing the standard LW2/LWOTC SMG not any of the added mod SMGs. It is possible that:
1) the changes ARE being made to -all- SMG's but they only show in the weapon stats screen of the default SMG (even though all SMGs are actually being changed);
or 2) LWOTC got updated long after this mod was actively maintained and it no longer changes any stats for added mod weapons in LWOTC at all (its borked nao).

Does anyone know what the deal may be?

Is there any way of changing some of the weapon types to SMGs instead of ARs? Meaning LW SMGs for regular soldiers, not for Skirmishers.

I think this mod has messed with another mod that gives sniper rifles "squad sight" since squad sight isn't in the ability pool, snipers are basically useless. I'm just curious if you either have a way or could help me add that ability back to sniper rifles. ty.

Since the new LWOTC smg balance changes, this is outdated - it'll use the older stats. I guess you can change them in the config for this mod but just to let you know it might fuck with your weapon config.

Like with Total ADVENT weaponry, most of settings can be placed there, including checkmarks if LWOTC is installed or not.

Works pretty fine for me. Even made it compatible with primary & upgradable pistols & swords by adding upgrade slots through configs.

Would be cool if you added Templar's gauntlets and Skirmisher's Ripjack :steamhappy:

I can't get it to work, I've got a few weapon packs and I've downloaded this, enabled it for the Long wotc and nothing happens, I checked the files stats and they seem right but all the mod weapons still has the same damage and stats.

Is there a way to change the mobility stat on LWotC SMGs? Whitelisting doesn't seem to work and editing ini per weapon is rough.

Thanks for the mod. I am using it in LWOTC already longer. But. Somebody said in discord, that the Range Tables in your mod aren´t the same as the range tables from LWOTC

Suggestion for Author:
As I go through all the individual weapons in Resistance Firearms, it dawned on me to create an inclusion for the resistance weapon types in this GWSC mod - for battle rifles and short barrel shotguns. Including more subcategories for weapon statlines and range tables by default in future versions of this mod, considering the popularity of the Resistance Firearms mod, would be welcome.

Figured it out. If anyone else wants to do this - make the resistance arsenal buildable in engineering, it's totally doable - correction for my earlier comment though - it's not magneticweapons , it's MagnetizedWeapons - Don't forget to adjust your resource costs and trading post value to bring it in line with the LW|OTC costs.

So quick question here - Using this mod with resistance firearms and LWOTC

Ideally I'd like to make it so the variants of each gun has slightly different stats, do not appear by default, and can built in engineering for a nominal cost of resources. Just want to verify my order of operations here so I'm not making any huge mistakes - before having to play through to the appropriate tier of tech research to unlock the weapons.

Testing with the G11 assault rifle:
Whitelisted the 3 tiers of the gun in GWSC
Edited the individual weapon config to use Custom stats, modified those stats
Changed CanBeBuilt to true
Changed Startingitem to false
changed infiniteitem to false
Added Required Tech = magneticweapons and plasmarifle to the appropriate tiers

anything I'm missing?

How do you change the values for it effecting only your troops weapons and stats and not the enemies stats? In the Weapon Stat Change Values T1 - T5 is all I see for all weapons Tier 1 - 5 is what Im assuming these values are but are they for all weapons including the enemies or are they only for the Xcom Troops? and if they are which values need to be changed?

These advent/alien weapons are missing from the whitelist. Add the following lines to XcomDLC_GWSC.ini located in the mod's config files and the problem of Advent officers, engineers etc hitting for 5-9 damage when troopers are only doing 2-4 will be solved.

@mctrevor the approach I took, since SMGs are not standard issue, is to whitelist them and all other non-standard or unique weapons (i.e. anything with its own stats & not just cosmetic makeovers of the core weapon set). I will post my whitelisted weapons here in multiple parts.

Ok, the mobility adjustment can be changed directly in the weapon ini. Just as the detection modifier. But I don`t know about the Long War values

The data is in the config files. I finally found out, how to get the SMGs from weapon packs show up as SMG weapons. And they get their stats adjusted except for the mobility bonus. Mobility adjustment is not part of this. My guess is, it is coded differently. Any tipps on how to adress this would be greatly appreciated.

Any option to add the SPARK Autocannon? I tried emulating the cannon structure with the name "SparkRifle" but no joy - presumably you would need to add this override in your code.

Would greatly appreciate an update that makes non-conventional tier weapons buildable as single items like how LWotC handles later weapon tiers as its a nightmare editing every weapon manually. Some enemies like advent stun lancers and grenadiers (they use the same weapons) as well as officers are missing from the whitelist, as are alien hunter stuff available to the player mentioned further down in the comments but this can be easily done manually at least.

Yes. The problem for me are not ARs or sniper rifles but SMGs. I haven't managed to get the correct LWOTC values when using this mod. I solved the issue by giving up on all weapon mods, just to have some peace of mind. I do want to say that I appreciate the humongous amount of effort modders put into their work, I don't want to sound ungrateful or something :)

@Kaeso Venator after installing have u cleaned the config folder yet? mine works fine the ak 47 have same value as an AR the sniper rifle wa 2000 have same stat as other sniper rifle even the world war 1 weapon pack works

This mod...doesn't work as intended for me. It doesn't change the values on the weapons added by the Resistance Firearms mod. I've tried and failed to find a solution, including putting this mod behind and after the load order with respect to RF, but it still doesn't work.

So for some reason Advent weapons have been changed as well they are doing 38+ damage to me each time they land shots? Is there anyway to fix this? Since all I really wanted to do was open up the weapon mods instead of damage modifying.
