can you add a new config option that will remove the decay timer?
i have it setup so they dont req power, cant be destroyed, and blocked from player construction. I placed a few throughout the map so peeps can go to set locations to use them. it would be nice to not have to remember to log in to refresh the decay timers on them.
for now that will be my approach then until any specific valg-osd/vein-mod pops up, much appreciated!
OSU relies on existing spawn points on the map, since in my opinion you can only get a really decent experience if you properly place it and provide dinos with pathing information to take advantage of the terrain to properly get to the drop.
Since you already mentioned it, Simple Spawners can create OSDs and Veins, although they are not compatible with this mod, unfortunately.
sry for that flood but ur mod looks really nice and with own spawnpoints it would be available for all maps and everybody (totally not saying that cause we only run valguero.... <.>)
Just wanted to say love mod. Hope it keeps getting updated for bug fixes (seems like most mods I use & love haven't been updated in a year or more, yet have major bugs with recent updates). Haven't found any bugs yet, but I am sure they exist/will exist with new DLC & updates. If WC would just fix the damn issues with the hordes it would be awesome lol.
I wish I had enough ideas for a one-year development plan to even consider sponsorship. This mod certainly couldn't fill a year. :D
i created a red osd spawner, forced it to spawn, once it came down i placed a tek gen and uplink down, powered up the gen and i got the uplink could not be established message. bummer.

I haven't actually tested it, but the answer is "it depends". If Simple Spawners creates them just like they are setup on Extinction, than it should work, but that would require that it actually creates the Event Manager, and doesn't re-create its own managing logic, because that manager is what my mod actually talks to.
Well if you ever wondered "what events are up right now" and don't feel like flying a circle over the entire map, you could just check the map in the structure to see it.
The spawning you could do in single player also with console commands, if you wanted to, I suppose.
I primarily made it after my own experience with Extinction in PvE, where flying around the map to find them got tedious after a couple weeks, and when we started to only farm red beacons for better Mek recipes, being able to spawn one for a cost would've really helped us enjoy it more.
I suppose on PvP it can also create more interesting situations, where you can better "prepare" to get one.
Another mod (not from me), SimpleSpawners, can spawn them on any map however, but you need to pick the spots yourself then.
Is there any plan to add on non orbital maps like Island or The Center?
Drops can only be requested on maps that include actual drop landing zones, like Extinction. Island does not have those. When you try accessing the structure on another map you should get an error at the top of the screen telling you that the satellite is not reachable.
I tried on single play on Island map, Seems requesting a new drop isn't working.
