There's regular wheels which you can slap on a frame and be ready to drive. And then there's the basic wheel block which can be stacked as double wheels. That's what I used. It can't steer or rotate on its own though. That requires rotors (which is what this whole thing is about).

I haven't touched SE in a long time but "no mods" sounds like the problem here. The vehicle is meant to be used with a mod (it's actually included and should download automatically). Vanilla wheels are fairly squishy and prone to exploding for no good reason. They can't handle vehicles of this size and speed. Here's the mod, just in case:

If that doesn't work, an update of SE might have broken the mod.

I finally made the effort to determine and calculate the *exact* forces in the suspension. That finally removed the 'bouncy castle' syndrome where the suspension would resonate like a pendulum and jump uncontrollably.

The script now also grabs the info on current vehicle mass as well as current gravity. Now you can simply throw it onto whatever planet you want and the suspension should adjust itself properly without further input.

This monster has suspension for days. It's surprisingly easy to scale the thing up, as well because who wouldn't want a mammoth sized mobile base.

Anyways, I love the design, it works great, and wheel/ rotor durability mod is an absolute must have. A few friends and I have been using it for monster trucks and rams.

I ran into some troubles with uploading videos on youtube. A detailed walkthrough with explainations for all the features will follow as soon as youtube finishes that upload.

I originally planned for a later release. Somehow the workshop's visibility must've switched however. It's a sneak preview now! : P
