This is the 1st ship I subbed to nearly 2 years ago. Still a go-to vessel for me. Timeless.

I love my new Airstream trailer, thanks :D

Lovely work, well done.

Nice, I like it

Huh... guess that answers that. The only DLC pack I don't have is the style pack right now. Apparently, the silver skin is a part of it, while the moss and wood skins are a part of the economy update. Which... is not what it's supposed to be.
Hull Breach  [author] 22 Sep, 2019 @ 4:41am
I have all the DLCs and I use them a lot. :-)
Destroyer_V0 22 Sep, 2019 @ 3:47am
Wait... you can still use the silver paint? Do you have the style pack DLC as well?
Hull Breach  [author] 22 Sep, 2019 @ 3:26am
If the paintjob doesn't work, you can paint it by hand. The whole ship is silver. (ctrl+shift+mmb) then just repaint the few interior blocks one by one.
Destroyer_V0 22 Sep, 2019 @ 3:19am
Heads up for anyone looking to use this ship. Unless you got the economy update DLC, you are likely to not be able to enjoy the glory that is the true paintjob of this vessel. Even then, however, it is currently borked, and despite having said DLC, I cannot spawn this ship with it's true paintjob.

Right Right, I was hoping my statement conveyed all of that as obvious.
I was just saying from experience, the amount of fuel you will go through to lift off a planet means you will have to stop at a station or asteroid to fill up on ice/hydrogen to make your next journey vs having ions to take over once in space.

I have ship about this size in survival with nearly the same setup and if I did not have atmo and ion on the ship, I would be stuck on planets after the first trip.

Something to consider for the future.
Hull Breach  [author] 21 Sep, 2019 @ 11:40am
That's true but there are some easy ways to save fuel:
- disable dampeners when flying straight forward
- use thruster override when leaving a planet (preset in menu bar, don't forget to disable dampeners)
- dock the ship to a station whenever possible

for example, whenever I approach an asteroid to scan it for ores, I fly towards it with dampeners disabled. I then activate the dampeners to come to hold just in front of the asteroid.

This way a full hydrogen tank can last very long.

I like it but the none use of ion is concerning.
You must be very conservative with your jumps or your a paper weight.
callme-jk 20 Sep, 2019 @ 2:31pm
base jump range.... haha funny. with this small thing no problem to reach 2k ;)
Hull Breach  [author] 20 Sep, 2019 @ 2:22pm
Maximum. (vanilla 2000km)
EpicSOB 20 Sep, 2019 @ 1:21pm
base jump range?
callme-jk 19 Sep, 2019 @ 3:41pm
Btw: Thruster-Damage... near the door and connector, better dont get burned. xD
callme-jk 19 Sep, 2019 @ 3:37pm
Hmm, i dont know. :) Nice design I rly like it, but only one hydro-tank alot of thrusters and one reactor only and thin walls.... xD (beside some small backup-systems) Better you can fly this... I think a new player will have some problems with this. At least the jumpdrive could need more power. Lets hope there is stockpile or tanks on/off in toolbar, not like the npc-ships in the store.... and... its empty... oh... xD (and no config for this in toolbar) - I give it a try.

Oh my thats beautiful
Emiricol4Rl 19 Sep, 2019 @ 10:43am
Hydro mods are working on that server, at least. So it should work elsewhere? I hope.
Hull Breach  [author] 19 Sep, 2019 @ 9:41am
Thank you. I hope, my hydro mod is still working. I had trouble updating it because of the new file system that came with the eco update.

btw, I just updated the Silverhawk:
- added second battery (so you have enough power to fly AND recharge the jump drive)
- flight seat now shows energy and hydrogen level
- double corner light at the front door ("headlights")
- filled the menu bar (reactor on/off, batteries on/off etc)
- ore detector set from 50m to 150m
Emiricol4Rl 19 Sep, 2019 @ 6:37am
AND it's all hydro? I love it. I'm going to make one, just because, and it'll be my new starter ship :D I'll chop up my raggedy little base and stuff it into the cargo containers, then move out. No one around is going to have a ship like mine! The server uses the economical hydro mods and enough storage multiple to make it work out. BTW, I love those hydro mods you made, @HullBreach.
Hull Breach  [author] 19 Sep, 2019 @ 3:46am
Yes it's kind of a large thruster with a cockpit :Djoe:
Korvatus Klok 18 Sep, 2019 @ 8:30pm
I think this is the most compact large grid ship I've seen.
Emiricol4Rl 18 Sep, 2019 @ 8:29pm
A space Silverstream... old school winnebago stylings meet modern retro design.
eboregelna 18 Sep, 2019 @ 5:17pm
would be a great missile if you replaced all the life support systems with cargo containers and explosives, but kept the jump drive.
Skallabjorn 18 Sep, 2019 @ 3:04pm
Epic as always!
