I seem to have solved my issue, one of my loaded mods was affecting the rotors of the build causing it to fling around.

@Communist Weeaboo I'll take a look at the drone and see if I can replicate the problem.

The drone just sort of sits there spinning around for me. Is there anyway to fix this issue?

Thank you. The drone part of the name is mostly for the namesake, as "ball drone" sounds just a bit more pleasing than something like "battle ball" (as cool as battle balls are). It's simply a flyable ball-shaped ship with drone as part of its name, but I'm sure you could slap a programmable block into the ship and run a defense drone script.
