I still can't pass the matrix. The guy is killed again by the second wave and game is blocked.
How you guys moved forward ?!

Not bad. I only got the game yesterday and made some progress on the Dead Man's Switch campaign but my save got deleted when I started up again this morning. :/ Figured I'd restart with a new character after trying some user-created stuff and this was the first one I loaded up. I agree with previous posters about grammar/spelling and environment size, as well as the short duration, but keep up the good work. I'd like to see where this mystery leads. Oh! One last thing. In the three riddles section, the riddles themselves should remain onscreen while selecting answers.

I retried...same punishment. I allways play by default on very hard, but whatever, i still think this second fight is OP.
Strangely, the game is not saved after the scene transition to the basement labo room.
I had twice to load from the entry of the building and restart the all ?!

Hi Sumguy. I just tested your work and i must admit that i was taken by the scenario. That weird story is promising. On the other hand, i could not finish it because the decker was killed on the Matrix "second round". The 1st fight was allready hard to win with this noob guy...i really wonder if it's necessary to put that "surprise second wave"...moreover when it blocks the game. I like the effort you put in dialogues and description. On the other hand, your decors are minimalist. A few things here or there could give more impact to your story :)

Nice Start.... Maybe a bit short.

But it is just the first chapter, right?

Really good so far. I hope the story continues.

Very good, nicely written with an interesting plot so far. I hope you continue. One of the best UGCs out there, potentially.

SPOILER: I noticed a few bugs at the lab during the 5 Years ago Run: 1. When your Decker dies in the Matrix, there is no way to leave the matrix. 2. When you use the computer desk in the lab and leave it to get the override code, you´re not able to use it anymore.

sorry the update took so long, try it now

@SwiftCrack, alright, if the re publish worked right, I should have fixed that problem. sorry about that.

@potatocubed, thanks, i'll keep these in mind. As for the multiple put out of misery options, you must have had two weapons, as I made an option for five different weapons (bat, pistol, SMG, rifle, and shotgun). I'll try to make it more clear when I get back to it.

Not bad! The plot's got me hooked, so I'd like to see more. There are a bunch of typos in the dialogue and loading screen blurbs, but nothing eye-watering. A few bugs I found: When talking to the still-living guy at the end of the first scene, the option to put him out of his misery appeared twice; even when I failed to remove the mask, the mission item was still added to my inventory; and there's a carpet tile in the Matrix in the Tillman estate, just right of the entry point.

I also had a whole blurb here about making your areas smaller and more focused, but it was too long to add to the comment. Short version: When building an area ask three questions: "Do I need this space for the story? Does it help gameplay? Does it help atmosphere?" If you can't answer yes to at least one of those, don't put it in. Hope that helps.

Great story so far! Look forward to see where this goes. No glitches so far from my perspective. Just a few spelling typos. I like these kind of runs that emphasize story with combat used as a flavoring spice and not the main ingredient. Keep it coming! Thumbs up and favorited!
