i just launched stellaris on the latest patch with only my mod activated and it still seems to work fine. fill the galaxy filled up pretty quickly and nothing crashed that i saw.

Start a game with just this mod. If the game loads then you have a mod conflict or another mod is broken.

I'm not exactly sure my game keeps crashing and it's the only other mod I have the says its outdated except for the machine shipset, but I'm like 17 so I'm not really sure how i'd troubleshoot for that.

it's something i've been meaning to do for a while now. i was going to try and update my mod once i've satisfied myself with my achievement hunting progress. i'll see about setting a minimum to like 40 or 50% habitability and getting them to make their own crappy habitats. but that'll not be for a littlewhile yet

I love the concept of this mod, but I see one big problem with it: it doesn't take habitability into account. I just had the rat-relic world spawn and pretty much immediately it got taken over by High King Arcann and his royal band of miscreants. This wouldn't be a particularly big deal, but my race is *highly* allergic to any habitat that's not artificial (due to the Dyson Swarm mod's "Void Dweller" trait) and is probably looking at a 10% habitability at MAX. Is there any way of making it so that the event only fires if habitability is above a certain point? It would make considerably more sense.

Updated! If you encounter any bugs or weirdness let me know as i likely won't be playing a full on stellaris game for a few weeks so i can't test properly myself.

Currently it looks like it doesnt spawn any colonies. i'll need to fix it in a day or so when i have time

It's a great mod cuz I absolutely love live environment and small states! Though It seems like an empire spawned in precursor system and caused a glitch...

Finally, using irony mod manager I was able to find the error. This came from a mod that would add the hopeful Scrin. Thank you for all your answers which put me on the path. Your fashion is awesome, take care of yourself and happy new year

I use many modes, also translation modes, maybe it comes from that?

Just loaded up the game i had running. Many of the colonies had different background rooms compared to their originating country. the game auto selects a background room for the ai based upon their ethics. E.g. fanatic purifiers have the skull background.

It seems to be working fine on my end.

The image that I would like to be random is called the room, we select it in the "ruler" tab in the creation of empire.

When new empires are created the image behind the representative (king, emperor, president, etc.) is always the same. It's a shame for the immersion in the game. I would like to make it random or depending on ethics or government figures. Are there lines of codes to change?

Thanks for your great fashion. Can you tell me how to ensure that not all created empires have the default clutter? It's a shame that they all have the same image, it loses a lot in PR, and I would like to change that. I thank you.

It is possible to change your own name mid game. Maybe there is a way to do it via an event. Maybe immediately after the new colonies creation.

it would be but unfortunately the random name generator for countries is tied to a file that if i alter it may cause compatability issues for other people running empire name altering mods.

Don't see why it shouldn't be, it only dissallows spawning on specific planets, they should spawn on anything else added so it -should- work fine.i'd just make sure that planetary diversity is loaded first

Updated to 2.8, fixed an issue related to machine colonies spawning without names or ethics. Didn't encounter any crashes at all whilst testing the mod on it's own. Not saying there isn't any, but i didn't run across any. always possible it's a mod conflict

Currently only non-gestalt empires (non-machines and non-hives) can spawn independents. probably a mod conflict

I had a determined exterminator that spawned a machine empire, but the machine empire had no name or civics. It also had the personality of Despicable Neutral, which the game told me was a placeholder not meant to be seen. Is this a known glitch? I have other mods as well, so it might be a conflict there, but I am just checking first.

So assuming the mod you are talking about is 'ethics and civis alternative 2.7'.

i downloaded that mod and it seems to work fine for me, see below

i did a fill the galaxy and every spawned empire had all civics and ethics filled.
if load order matters (Although i dunno if it will.) i had independent colonies above the ethics alternative.

Any chance of a patch for this and Ethics and Civics Alternative? The only issue is that the countries generated by this mod don't use the additional two ethic slots ECA provides. I would make a patch myself, but I can't understand how the ethics of the countries are chosen in your events, or if maybe ECA does something to add the extra 2.

That is incredibly strange. Nothing on my end interacts with altering base output of nations. I just give each nation a one off lump sum of materials and thats it. just did a few repeats to see and i didn't have a single empire show up with that change to base production.

Almost definitely a mod conflict although i'm unsure as to which mod could be causing that, probably something to do with countries or colonies. sorry i can't be of more help.

That's an AI that left its original country and spawned an independent colony. They had 2 planets, and were the strongest people in the game. As you can see there, they have some crazy base production.

I do concede that it's very possibly a mod conflict, as I have over 150 mods. I don't know of any of my other mods that would do that, though.

could you elaborate further please? the empires spawned from here are given some basic buildings to start with, if you have a mod that alters buildings in any way it could be that
