I believe the storage pod texture is slightly too large, as it overlaps the others and the percentage bar even overlaps the others a bit too. I would decrease it by 10-15% in size.
As for the request, I was hoping you could add a second set of pod(s), 2x2 cells in size with 5 times more storage (configurable). I don't think the fridge needs a 2x2 though. I'd set it further in on research as well.
If possible, even a 3x3 in size, with 3 times the storage of the 2x2.
This would ultimately decrease the amount of buildings around to store things in so you can have more stored in less buildings making things a little more optimal. Assume that the larger ones go deeper giving you that added benefit of more storage.

If you want to recover your old save - Roll back ONI to the last version (select it under betas), load your save, delete the cold storage pods, save your game, reload back, all fixed but you won't be able to use them until the mod is updated :(
Add an option/or building, to prevent sublimation of the stored item.
