Grezvany13  [tekijä] 29.11.2024 klo 3.50
@PradoJr2 as said in the TFAR discord, it's most likely a mod conflict; so without any log files it's impossible to tell why it happens.
Feel free to send more information on the Discord server or as a GitHub issue.
PradoJr2 28.11.2024 klo 7.25
Pickup SATCOM make it disappear completely, Any fix?
TubaHorse 24.9.2024 klo 14.30
Ended up making an ace3 arsenal extended patch for this mod: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3337277895
Logo110 6.9.2024 klo 8.13
More camo textures?
Grezvany13  [tekijä] 22.8.2024 klo 9.35
We use this mod almost daily with the latest version of ACE, CBA and TFAR (beta), and have no problems at all.
Mik92 25.2.2024 klo 2.13
The recent update for ACE broke the mod. Self interaction menu does not bring up anything except the blurred UI. This mod also breaks TFAR from the ACE update too.
Quadraxis 9.12.2023 klo 11.19
Is there a ACE extended arsenal compat for this?
Inferno | M.D.F 27.11.2023 klo 9.41
Is the SATCOM ever going to be fixed? :(
DylanMadigan 15.3.2023 klo 4.58
I've been looking around but didn't see anything, are there any mods similar to this that add radios but for other sides as well?
=7Cav=SPC.Crimzon.E 4.6.2022 klo 17.34
Satcom still no work ):
War-cursed 14.2.2021 klo 13.14
The mod doesn't keep the ears locked to what ear you set it to when setting up multiple LR channels
Grezvany13  [tekijä] 9.12.2020 klo 14.42
@Mouse; it's on my todo list to make the SATCOM work like the Spike Antenna, but it's pretty hard to make it work properly. Similar to full ACRE support.

And if you look down 2-3 comments, there's a link to an ACRE version (based on the old version of this mod)
J.Mouse 8.12.2020 klo 6.20
Is there any way to have the satcom replicate what the spike in acre does?

would you be able to send me the link for the acre version please
Grezvany13  [tekijä] 3.12.2020 klo 17.20
@Mouse I believe there is, but without a working SATCOM (as in; increase range on the radios). And afaik is there no full ACRE support at all yet, only empty backpacks with different antenna's
J.Mouse 3.12.2020 klo 15.24
Is there a version of this for ACRE that includes the SATCOM??
Ellman 11.8.2020 klo 3.43
@Digger there is a ILBE mod for acre but doesn't work the same way as for tfar due to the way acre handles the radios. Acre currently doesn't have the ability to integrate a radio into a backpack and instead you have to put the "radio item" into said pack.

This is the ACRE version
It's more for looks rather then fuctionality.
Ghost-G339 9.8.2020 klo 4.27
Ok so I have history TFAR and have interest in this mod, but my friend in a unit I thinking of joining uses ACRE and I do like what they do, could you make an ACRE version?
Ostross 25.7.2020 klo 6.56
Oh man, that is really cool, thanks!

I have one last question, if you don't mind:

Let's say I have a 152 which is boosted with a SATCOM antenna. So my range is now somewhere around 20 km. If I transmit a message to someone who is 15 km away who also has a 152 (but his range is only 5 km), will he be able to hear me? What if he tries transmitting, will I be able to hear him?
Grezvany13  [tekijä] 25.7.2020 klo 5.39
it extends ALL radios, including short range. So the 152 which normally has a 5km range will be 20km near a SATCOM.
Ostross 25.7.2020 klo 3.32
Okay. So the SATCOM only really works with long range radios, is that right?
Grezvany13  [tekijä] 24.7.2020 klo 18.14
For the backpacks it's around the same as the default TFAR backpacks (with small differences), so between 35 and 42km.
The SATCOM only multiplies the range by 4 (so 40km becomes 120km).
Ostross 24.7.2020 klo 8.05
what is tx/rx range?
[Kai] 20.7.2020 klo 13.14
@Grezvany13
we have TFAR on the server.

RF-3080 (SATCOM) does not route the reception or does not answer the range of the radio link.
Grezvany13  [tekijä] 19.7.2020 klo 16.19
@Thicc Giraffe; no, the configs and scripts are all build around TFAR, so won't work without issues when not loaded.

@[Kai]: what is not working? Because both this mod and TFAR haven't changed, and everything is working for me (and many others).
[Kai] 18.7.2020 klo 15.29
RF-3080 (SATCOM) NOT working by TFAR. Pls check it.
Uhhh Kyle 17.7.2020 klo 18.02
Weird question but is there a certain PBO that I can delete that removes the TFAR support but not the backpack for a personal edit, basically looking for the visual effect of having a radio without using TFAR since I just use discord.
Grezvany13  [tekijä] 3.7.2020 klo 6.38
Full ACRE2 support (or better said, an ACRE2 version) is planned, but requires a completely different way of scripting. I'm still trying to figure out how to do this, especially because ACRE2 doesn't have functions available to increase/decrease range.
Stahu 1.7.2020 klo 1.16
Oh no, now ACRE is not supported... Can you do anything about it? :<
Grezvany13  [tekijä] 13.6.2020 klo 5.17
@Sir Zandyl Latos; it's completely fine to have this mod in your modlist, however it's NOT allowed (both by license and Steam EULA) to reupload the mod, upload a custom modpack with this mod embedded or even uses parts from this mod.
Zandyl 13.6.2020 klo 4.37
Hey, quick question. Does it fall under the license terms if I use this mod in a larger community mod for a server? Or do you not condone the use of this mod for such purposes?
T. Ditch 12.6.2020 klo 16.00
Any progress on the ACRE version?
Grezvany13  [tekijä] 11.5.2020 klo 16.59
@lizardbolo warnings don't prevent loading missions, and if the mod is loaded correctly (together with CBA and TFAR) nothing can go wrong.
So your problem is caused by something else than this mod, especially because it works without any issues or even warnings on many other servers.
lizardbolo 10.5.2020 klo 8.04
Cannot load mission on 64 bit server:

Warning Message: Bad vehicle type tfw_ilbe_whip_coy
Warning Message: Bad vehicle type tfw_ilbe_whip_blk

Please fix dependencies.

Regards.
Grezvany13  [tekijä] 14.4.2020 klo 2.38
@NorX Aengell: this is in the works, although at a low priority.

@okayMakkoli: no idea, sounds like you either use a different mod or a mod which is not compatible.

@Userkaft:
- DD: 15km
- Blade: 18km
- Whip: 15km
- Whip Extended: 25km

@Logo110: Which pattern specifically? Because I know there's a reskin mod which adds M81 and DPM Woodland (https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1957483662)
Logo110 14.4.2020 klo 1.08
Are there any plans for woodland pattern?
Userkaft 8.4.2020 klo 13.20
Hello, amazing work. What are the antennas max range?
stuckp00p 28.3.2020 klo 12.22
"tfw ilbe gr" error, does that mean anything?
NorX Aengell 20.1.2020 klo 9.24
Thx for your rewrite, could it be possible to make the mod translatable ? thx again :)
LuceArt 16.1.2020 klo 23.20
Hey, sorry I missed your response. Thanks for the update! I don't really know much about modding, but I do enjoy testing things out. So if you need a lab rat to help find bugs, feel free to hit me up. We've become quite familiar with ACRE2 having used it for about 6 months now, so maybe we could assist in some way if you want.
Grezvany13  [tekijä] 6.1.2020 klo 16.55
@Guyan; no, it's also available in Arsenal and can be placed manually by the player as long as he/she has it in his inventory. After that it can be moved or picked up again.
guyan 5.1.2020 klo 19.07
Is the RF-3080 only placeable in editor?
Grezvany13  [tekijä] 4.11.2019 klo 17.09
@LuceArt; Yes, I am working on an ACRE version with working antenna's, although I still have some issues with the method that ACRE handles antenna's internally (especially because the radios and antenna's are separated from the backpack configs).
I can't give an ETA yet due to other projects (and time needed to get some issues fixed), but I will release a working ACRE version as soon as I can.
LuceArt 3.11.2019 klo 20.41
Are there any plans to create or adapt this mod to work with ACRE 2? We had been using TFAR for years, but recently we switched over to ACRE 2 due to weird technical issues many players were experiencing. So far, ACRE is working out nicely. I do miss using many of the packs we used with TFAR though since Arma is pretty limited in the backpack/rucksack department.
Grim 3.11.2019 klo 7.32
@Grezvany13 Yeah i accidentally had the old one sorry about that!
Grezvany13  [tekijä] 1.11.2019 klo 5.40
@Col.Williams; you can report bugs here, on Discord or on GitHub.
However I've tested the SATCOM and it works correctly with and without ACE3 with the latest (stable) versions of Arma3, CBA and this mod.
Therefor I believe it's an issue with another mod you're running (which seems unlikely, unless you run the old ILBE mod).
Grim 31.10.2019 klo 17.00
Added for a chat. There is a bug I am experienceing with this as of 10/31/2019 The Satcom is visible but It wont go in an empty backpack.
Grezvany13  [tekijä] 6.10.2019 klo 17.13
@Blutze; that does not sound like an error caused by this mod, but by an older (and unsupported) version of TFAR, or a mod/script which breaks this TFAR function.

Please check if you get the same errors when only using CBA, TFAR (beta) and this mod (and with or without ACE). And please make sure you have the latest versions (from Steam Workshop).
If so; then I would like to ask you to fill out a full bug report on GitHub [github.com]
Blutze 6.10.2019 klo 1.13
With TFAR Beta and only minimal other addons, changing antennas from the mousewheel menu doesnt do anything, with this in the report file:

10:03:19 Error in expression <onCode = "tf_independent_radio_code"};

_return set [4, missionNamespace getVari>
10:03:19 Error position: <_return set [4, missionNamespace getVari>
10:03:19 Error set: Undefined variable in expression: _return
10:03:19 File z\tfar\addons\core\functions\fnc_getDefaultRadioSettings.sqf..., line 95

Adding Ace, self interaction breaks in general, with this slightly different error being spammed in the report as long as I hold ctrl+windows:

10:05:15 Error in expression < "tf_independent_radio_code"};

_return set [4, missionNamespace getVariable [_e>
10:05:15 Error position: <set [4, missionNamespace getVariable [_e>
10:05:15 Error set: Type Number,Not a Number, expected Array
10:05:15 File z\tfar\addons\core\functions\fnc_getDefaultRadioSettings.sqf..., line 95

@Blitzkrieg762; full ACRE2 support is planned, but requires a completely different way of scripting. I'm still trying to figure out how to do this, especially because ACRE2 doesn't have functions available to increase/decrease range.
